omg fellow people who realize the jokes made at scars interests is ableist and not okay!!!! ive been ranting about it on my private twitter account bc I know I will be killed on my main, but it is just SO ableist to treat someone tlaking about their special interests or just interests in general as boring and pretending to fall asleep. it makes watching scars streams almost unbearable to watch due to how annoying it gets to watch happen.

God. it makes me SO PISSED when they do that to him. I screen-recorded a bunch of segments today from recent streams of people rolling their eyes at all the Disney talk, and I'm gonna try to make a compilation of at least the recent D23-related instances (trying to make a full compilation would take Years)

No one complains when Grian goes off about pokemon or zelda, but the second scar mentions Disney, everyone groans and runs away. And if Scar is genuinely upset, he just has to play into the joke to mask his feelings for stream.

I wonder if he's ever actually brought it up,, only to be brushed off with "yeah but you talk about it ALL the time" and other ableist remarks.

It's so upsetting how ashamed he gets of talking about anything he's passionate about too. The topic of Area 51 came up on Skizz' stream the other day and he got SO EXCITED talking about his favorite air crafts and the history of how they were designed, their different features, aesthetics, etc. and he tried to shut himself down multiple times and apologize like, "I'm sorry, I know this is boring, you don't wanna hear this" but thankfully Skizz encouraged him (for once).

Sometimes the hermits will entertain Scar's Disney talk, but it's rare, and usually only if they're one-on-one. If others are around and making fun of Scar, they'll jump right in and absolutely dogpile on him... EXCEPT Cub.

All my homies love Cub, I cannot think of a single instance where Cub has shut Scar down or made fun of him for his interests. Cub always listens and actively engages with Scar when he talks about Disney, a couple times during Scar's D23 predictions stream, Cub would fly over to ask a question or two and talk about his own predictions!

I wish more of the hermits respected Scar the way Cub does.

Cub: "Q&A Cub: do you have a favorite bug?" Um, probably... I don't know if you consider it a bug, but like butterflies? Like a monarch butterfly? Kinda beautiful. And also awesome, 'cause they transform from a caterpiller into a butterfly. Which is kind of amazing, if you think about it. Like it totally transforms. So I'm gonna go with like a butterfly, if you consider that a bug. 'Cause they're not only like aesthetically very cool, they also have an awesome transformation undergo. So that's pretty sick.

CUB: Yeah. Yeah, he's aware of it. I've messaged him, and I said "Hey skizz, I need you to take care of it as soon as possible." 'Cause that's valuable land! That's valuable land over there.

SCAR: Did you get a positive response?

CUB: I did. I did. He's like, "I'll get right on this."

SCAR: Oh, good, good. Law and order.

CUB: Yup. And I haven't heard anything since. [SCAR laughs]

SCAR: He's on now. Where is he?

CUB: It's only been a couple of hours. I'm gonna give him 48 hours.

SCAR: Where is that man?

CUB: After that, another brick goes through the EGG. [SCAR laughs]

SCAR: Well, you do have immunity, so...

CUB: Yeah! I do. It's pretty nice having immunity. Watch this. [Minecraft punching sound] See that? Nothing happend.

SCAR: Dude, I... I do not trust you with immunity. I'm gonna be fully honest here, Cub. I get why he did it, because now we have youー y'know, you look favorably on us, right?

CUB: Well, I didn't get it for free. I mean, I did make the redstone here in the jail, like with this system.

SCAR: Yeah, but that was more of a bribe to get you on our side. 'Cause, like, you not on our side is scary, to be honest. So, we need to make sure you're with the bank, you're with the good guys over here.

CUB: You know what I learned from getting immunity?

SCAR: Hm?

CUB: It's always a good idea to attempt to burn down a police station. [SCAR laughs] 'Cause I tried to burn this place down, ended up getting immunity!

SCAR: Dude, it's like a win-win.

CUB: Kind of amazing. Kind of an amazing deal.
