ANNA KIEBLESZ - ALIENATION
photography installation
Layers of gaze and their automatic division. Take the unconsciousness away and we are drowning here, tangling in those unapproachable matters. Loss or being lost? Forgery by your own mind?
This work is an outcome of the ongoing investigation of the very own self. An attempt of grasping how close can we get by looking at the others.
Anna Kieblesz (1991). Graduate from the Academy of Photography in Warsaw, Poland and currently a student of the photography department of the Royal Academy of the Art in The Hague, KABK. A visual artist with multidisciplinary approach, who believes that images captured by camera are only a tool for a broad exploration of own experiences. Creating has a therapeutic value for the artist as it also has an effective research methodology and a channel to connect with others. A member of ‘Stray dogs walk the red carpet’ collective and Laureate of ShowOFF 2012 section at the PhotoMonth in Cracow. Has shown work in Warsaw, Cracow, Amsterdam, The Hague, Paris, New Delhi and Sarajevo. In the summer of 2017 she will be showing her work on the Rencontres d’Arles festival with a project initiated by FOAM - Collaborate!.
