Shouta raised an eyebrow and laughed slightly. He saw the red on her cheeks and the look in her eyes. Shouta stepped forward and brushed his fingers against her arms.

Alex peeked their head out of the backroom when the bell rang.

"Welcome, how may I help you?" They asked stepping out and brushing fluff and thread off their pants.

Their wild hair had been tamed back into a braid, their measuring tape hanging across their shoulders. They stepped fully up behind their counter, smiling.

Shouta looked pup from his computer upon hearing Hizashi’s voice.“I couldn’t sleep, so I’m inputting grades,” he stated, taking a drink of the warm tea he’d made not to long ago.

 “Why are you up?” He asked, turning more toward him, concern all over his face, “Did you have another night mare?”

The quiet man had taken a while to figure out flowers his girlfriend liked. Kyori was always doing small things for him, making him food, setting things out for him and other small gestures. He had taken a while to find a shop that would make up a bouquet with the tiger lillies, tulips and bleeding hearts. He'd made sure to keep his night free and had asked her out for the night, which led him to where he was now, standing in front of her apartment door, dressed in slacks and a red button down. He raised his free hand and knocked.

As true as that was, Hizashi didn’t enjoy how it was phrased; the Voice Hero’s brows furrowing slightly as he looked away from Kyori for a moment or two. A sight left his lips, adjusting his leather jacket as he gathered his thoughts.

“We’re…Not the same, Atsu. We’re not the same, but that doesn’t mean I can’t empathize with you, or that I can’t feel the same pain as you do – even if our situations weren’t exactly the same.”

Was it strange, for the Voice Hero to be so quiet about such a matter…? Or was this just another shaky step in their friendship – their relationship with one another – that both Kyori and Hizashi needed to go through…?              He didn’t know, but he didn’t mind finding out.

“…I’m your friend, Atsu. Even if you want to deny it every-which-way.”
