“It’s nearly two in the morning, what are you doing up?” (sleepy cockatoo boi /notacockatoo)

Shouta looked pup from his computer upon hearing Hizashi’s voice.“I couldn’t sleep, so I’m inputting grades,” he stated, taking a drink of the warm tea he’d made not to long ago.

 “Why are you up?” He asked, turning more toward him, concern all over his face, “Did you have another night mare?”

Seeing Hizashi smile is always nice. The man is such a ball of sunshine, and even if Shouta acts perpetually annoyed by him, he’d be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy his company. His own lips curl into a smile, much smaller but just as happy.

     “You’re so vain...” he mumbles without any actual insult behind it. The question has his own cheeks turning a light shade of pink and, quickly, he wipes away his smile and looks away. “Nothing. It just...” 

He sighs heavily, running his fingers through his own hair.

     “Can’t I just comment on something? No reason necessary?”

Shouta smiled as he leaned against his friend. He'd heard the blonde sing before, but, rarely just for him. He paused begining to pay more attention to the lyrics. Hizashi was singing a love song. He burried his face in his scarf, thinking to himself.

A wide smile spread across his unseen face. He hummed quietly along with the song, content to hear it, he couldn't help it, when the voice hero finished he leaned up and kissed his cheek.

Shouta glared a bit at the other. “You’re not that much taller than me ass hole.”He shook his head and sighed, muttering under his breath, “Knowing my luck all I’d do is piss you off more.”

Shouta wouldn't admit his excitement for the day with the blonde. It'd be a long while since he'd bee with him for anything other than nightmares or school. His protests hade been more for show than actually protesting hanging out.

He loved having the blonde curled next to him on the couch. He ran his fingers through his sily hair, half paying attention to the movie. He was incredibly aware of every move the body beside him made. Feeling his breath against his nack made him sile and he leanwd his head down against his. He refrained from pressing a kiss to it, unsure of how the blonde would respond.

Shouta surveyed the disaster that was his classroom. He eyed the loud blonde with a bit of a sigh. “What exactly happened?”

Two missions, he failed two missions in a row and so many, so many people died. Because he was incompetent, because he couldn’t- he leaned against the wall, taking a deep breathe to try and steady his racing heart.

“Dammi!” He all but shouted, freezing when he heard the door open.
