“See, I told you that letting me drive wasn’t an awful idea,” you told Elle as the two of you got your bags out of the backseat of her car. Elle never let you drive her car, but she had been tired when she arrived at the trailer in Texas where you’d been told to wait. Whatever was happening was big and she wanted you as far away from it as she could get you without you worrying about her. You knew what she was doing, but you didn’t mind it. The two of you were in for a relaxing vacation to the cabin anyways.
“I guess that maybe you can drive us back to Texas once we get onto the highway,” Elle told you. You got quiet at the idea of having to go back. You weren’t a southern girl in the slightest bit and living there with her, you felt out of your element. In the mountains, you felt right at home, so maybe you could talk Elle into letting you stay here. “But now, you look tired. Come on, let’s lay down.”
You walked in first and Elle checked out the rooms while you stood in the living room. Once she declared it safe, you ran back to the bedroom and hopped into the bed. Elle was a lot less enthusiastic to get into bed, but she immediately pulled you into her arms once she got laid down.
It was nice and you very quickly fell asleep. Elle made you feel safe in a way that you honestly knew she shouldn’t have. Yes, there was a new guard that you had to keep up because she was in your life, but she never let it get too heavy for you to keep up. In a weird way, you made Elle feel safe too. It didn’t really make much sense to you because you didn’t feel like you could protect her like she could you.
“Are you up?” Elle asked you.
“I am,” you answered. Elle paused for a moment in whatever she’d been planning when you turned your head to look at her. You’d woken up from your nap minutes before, but had just taken in the warmth of Elle holding you in her arms. Elle turned your body slightly so that you were on your back and looking up at her. “Did you get any rest?”
“A little, but then I got a little restless,” Elle teased. You put your hand on the back of her head and pulled her down so she could kiss you. Elle moved completely on top of your body and pinned you against the mattress. You pulled her as close to you as you could, not wanting an inch to separate the two of you. The longer that you held Elle against you, the easier it got to tell that she wanted more.
Elle pushed herself away a bit and you propped yourself up on your elbows. Your shirt was riding up a little, so that was where Elle started. She placed her hands on your hips and pushed your shirt up your abdomen before tugging it over your chest and shoulders. Elle leaned down and started trailing kisses across your clavicle before going down your sternum, and then nipping at the underside of your breast.
“Elle!” you squeaked. You didn’t have to see her face to know that she had a smug little half-smile. She didn’t do it again, instead opting to continue her trail of kisses further south. You pushed yourself away from Elle to take off your own pants, and then she came in to take off your underwear.
Elle wasted absolutely no time after that. She buried her head in between your legs, licking everything in her eyeline. It was messy and juvenile, reminding you of the early days of your relationship. After a bit of that, Elle switched her game with you. Two fingers slid inside of you easily and Elle kept a steady pace. It wasn’t too fast or too slow.
“Do you think you can handle more?” Elle asked you. It felt like you were getting closer and she could definitely tell.
“Not for long,” you answered, knowing what Elle was getting at. The harder Elle could make you cum, the better. So, she added another finger and laid back with her head in between your legs again. Like the precise movements of her fingers inside of you, Elle’s tongue now had purposeful strokes against your clit. Instead of speeding up though, she went slower and instead of a quaking orgasm, your climax was much softer. Warmth spread throughout your body and a wave of bliss washed over your mind.
“Fuck,” Elle muttered, drawing in your attention. You glanced over at her and saw her pull her own hand from out of her pants. The two of you locked eyes for a moment, then Elle sat back against the headboard. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” you told her. You crawled to lay your head on her lap and Elle’s hands immediately fell to run through your hair. “I want to stay here, like forever.”
“We’d get restless with nothing to do,” Elle countered.
“I wouldn’t mind finding something to keep you busy with,” you offered. Elle tilted her head as she mulled over moving before humming.
“It couldn’t hurt to give this an honest try.”
Memory (Elle Driver x Reader)
Pt. 1
smut
It wasn’t everyday that you woke up in a morgue. In fact, that had never happened to you before. Normally, you woke up in the comfort of your own home. However bad your day had started out, you bet the morgue attendant’s was way worse than yours. Not only had you scared the shit out of him, but you’d taken his clothes keys too.
You made your escape from the hospital in the medical examiner van. Hopefully nobody got murdered while you borrowed it. You’d only need it for a couple hours tops before you found a car to steal. Elle had taught you how to look for good getaway vehicles.
Elle. You were going to kill her. She knew that if there was one way you didn’t want to die, it was by gunshot. Swords? Fine. Poison? The quicker the better. Disease? Not ideal, but you can’t be too picky. Guns? Fuck that, unnecessary.
Elle knew your stance and still, the bitch fucking shot you. She shot you and she insulted your taste in interior decoration. The two of you hadn’t spoken in years and she decides to be catty with you before shooting you. Unbelievable. Although, you doubted that you’d have asked her if she wanted something to drink had you gotten the chance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finding Elle was pretty easy. All you did was leave a few clues and she came to you. She was panicked when she saw you, like she knew that she’d really fucked up. It was sort of weird, but that thought didn’t come up until after your blade was pressing up against her jugular.
“You know what, that’s too quick,” you said as you lifted your knife away from her throat. “I shouldn’t kill you so easily when you fucking left me Elle.”
“I didn’t want to kill you, and I certainly didn’t want to leave you, but I couldn’t watch you die,” Elle said and there was no mask over the emotion in her voice. You cleared your throat and stood up, towering above her. You could easily have stomped on her throat or bashed her head in. When you stole your steel toed boots, that is what you had been thinking about using them for anyways.
“Ridiculous,” you said and Elle sat up. She was still staring up at you, letting you keep the upper hand. “Elle, you were aiming for my heart, that’s a little personal.”
“Lovely, look at me.” It wasn’t fair, how she could get under your skin like it was nothing. You glanced down at her and she was telling the truth.
“I oughta gouge your good eye out for fucking with me like this,” you said and Elle stood up. She had always been taller than you, but with her heels on, she towered over you. Elle stared at you for a moment before placing her hand around your throat. Maybe this time, she’d kill you for real, but you doubted it. The look in Elle’s eye as she backed you against the wall wasn’t one of anger or hatred, but rather lust.
“Lovely, why would you say such a nasty thing?” Elle asked you. She squeezed a little and you whimpered. Elle leaned in and kissed you while your mouth was open. You kissed her back and her hand let up from around your neck. It was quickly replaced by her mouth though, trailing up and down the spots where her hand had once been. “I’m sorry.”
The two of you left her apology there and moved on. Elle’s hands came to rest on your hips, just barely pushing your shirt up. Your arms wrapped around Elle’s neck and she supported you as your legs wrapped around her waist. She carried you across her hotel room and laid you out on her bed.
Your pants were the first thing to go. Once they were off, she kept her hands on your thighs. Elle’s jacket had been discarded sometime during the fight, so you worked on getting her shirt unbuttoned. That was thrown behind her and became barely an afterthought as your hands traced over the trails that you’d created in your mind years ago.
Elle’s pants didn’t come completely off. She had never been an overly patient woman when it came to her own pleasure. Once there was an opportunity for your hand to be in between her legs, Elle urged you to take it. It was just like old times, everything from the way that Elle would keep herself above you while you fucked her with your fingers to the way that she’d almost always nearly headbutt you when she came.
You held Elle’s body against yours for a moment. She would keep her face buried in the pillow for a moment or two before she lifted her head. Kisses were pressed across your shoulder and along your neck until her lips met yours. You ran your fingers through her hair and pulled her closer to you. Elle broke the kiss and pulled you up into a sitting position. You lifted your arms up and Elle removed it before tossing it behind her.
“Don’t look at it,” you told her. Elle’s eyes were glued to the scars. All of the ones that hadn’t been there before. Each and every one of them haunted her, but the ones that she had caused were the ones that rocked her to the core. You were honestly shocked by the guilt and regret that she wore on her face as she looked at you. Her fingers pressed gently into the scars before she snapped her hand back, as if caught by an electrical spark or something.
Elle didn’t say anything or meet your eye, she just sat there staring at her own hands. You moved to touch her and she pressed you back against the bed. The gentle press of her lips over the scar on the top of your breast was tender and more loving than you remembered her to be. The kisses trailed in between that scar and the one where the bullet had entered hadn’t been as emotionally charged, but you could feel her. You could feel Elle and regret washed over you at the idea of what you’d come there to do. Sure, the memories of each other that you’d shared weren’t necessarily great, but there hadn’t been any love lost over the course of your struggles.
Personal Surgeon (Elle Driver x Reader)
Something was up. Elle was acting weird and for the past hour or so, been trying to get you out of the house. You ruled out her being mad at you pretty early on because Elle would have just left for a little while if that had been the case. Finally, you just got fed up with her trying to push you away that you just decided to go run errands for the afternoon. There wasn’t a high chance that Elle was cheating on you, she most likely just had to meet someone to get another contract.
“What the hell is she doing in the yard?” you asked yourself when you pulled back into the driveway. You got out of the car and ran over to where Elle was laying in the grass. “Hey, look at me. Are you okay?”
“She stabbed me,” Elle gasped out and you ran inside to get your medical kit. When you had met Elle, you were in your first year as a surgical resident. She’d come to you a few times in the early stages of your relationship for help with small injuries, but then they started to get worse and you asked questions. She pulled you away from your work at the hospital and hid you away because lying to you wasn’t something Elle was good at. You knew too much and just like she’s presumed, somebody had come snooping around your old place.
“Who stabbed you Elle?” you asked as you started on cleaning the wound.
“We have to go,” Elle told you. You sighed, hating it whenever the two of you had to move around. You cleaned up the wound and did some stitches before putting gauze over it and wrapping bandage to hold. Elle wasn’t going to take it easy, but hopefully you’d done the wrapping tight enough to hold off on her tearing the stitches.
“You rip those and I’ll use a staple gun to fix them again,” you threatened her. Elle nodded and let you help her onto her feet. The two of you packed up some of your things and then booked it away from the house. “Can we get a pool next time?”
“Whatever you want,” Elle groaned as she watched for anybody tailing you.
Irish Exit (Elle Driver x Reader)
It had been too easy. Everything that you already knew about the guy you were sent to kill told you that he’d put up a fight. He was a paranoid man, known for going on long spiels about how the government wanted people to kill him. Sure, you had no qualms about going through a little extra trouble to rid the world of an asshole like him, but you shouldn’t have been able to just walk into this man’s house and kill him.
“Hey Elle, I’m, um, done already. If I get on the road soon, I should be home in the morning. Love you.” You left a message on Elle’s phone. As soon as you stepped out off of the property, you realized why it was so easy. “Hello officer.”
“Y/n Y/l/n, you’re under arrest for the murders of-,”
“Look, we’ll be here forever if you try to name ‘em all,” you said and he just put you in cuffs. You weren’t read your rights, but you were sort of a known killer. Where most in your line of work like anonymity, you had no issues with taking the credit for your kills. The challenge was catching you, which had been the challenge for the past decade.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You know, you make good entrances and all, but there’s something you lack,” Elle said as she unlocked your cell.
“And what’s that?” you asked.
“Discretion. You’re loud as hell and you always leave a calling card when you leave. This time is different though, we’re going for the Irish exit,” Elle told you. She opened your door completely and the two of you snuck out of the prison. “I don’t know what you’d do without me.”
“I was hoping for lethal injection. I don’t think a buzz is a good look for me,” you joked and Elle shoved you into the backseat of her car. You laid low until you’d crossed state lines.
Cooperation (Elle Driver x Reader)
“This has to be a joke,” Elle said as she walked into the room you’d been waiting in. You had been called here to discuss a job, but the contract had yet to arrive. “You’re hiring me?”
“Why would I want second rate work?” you asked and Elle growled at you. You rolled your eyes at her and stood up from the loveseat you’d been sitting in to walk over towards her. “Maybe this is a set up. I’m sure you’ve got your fair share of enemies.”
“I’m valuable, even to my enemies,” Elle argued. You heard something click behind Elle and you pulled her onto the ground. Bullets whizzed over your heads as the two of you crawled away to cover. Once the bullets stopped, you both made your escape out the window. “Fuck! How did you know there were guns in there?”
“I didn’t. I heard something though,” you said as you looked around for a car to hotwire. “Obviously both of us have upset someone quite a bit.”
“We’re paid kills, of course we’ve upset someone,” Elle said. You spotted a car near the end of the block that looked plain enough and dragged Elle by the wrist over towards it. “I’m driving.”
“Fuck that. I picked the vehicle, I get to drive,” you told her.
“I’ll go off on my own then,” Elle threatened. Somebody had gone to great lengths to try and get the two of you in the same place. Now that you were together and knew someone had it out for you, you knew that you should stay together. You looked up at Elle as you got the engine started and she sighed and got into the passenger’s seat. “When we fuel up, I get to drive. I know a place.”
“I know places too.” You whipped out of the parking lot and went straight onto the highway. Elle laughed as you speedily weaved through traffic. Elle ended up letting you drive, but she gave you directions to a port where she had a boat. The two of you ditched the car at the state line and then switched out cars every couple of towns in case anybody was trying to follow you.
“Watch your step,” Elle said as she helped you onto the boat. Despite your animosity towards each other towards the beginning of your little adventure, you were beginning to like her. “You know how to sail?”
“Not all rich kids get sailing lessons. My dad thought I’d be better suited for a husband that liked the green,” you said and Elle nodded.
“I’m sure that you’ve got one hell of a swing. I saw that golfer you offed in Florida a few years ago,” Elle said and your heart sped up at the thought of her remembering your kills. “Didn’t care much for the tee in the eye socket though.”
“You weren’t supposed to,” you teased and Elle pushed your shoulder. The two of you set sail late at night, so when you woke up, Elle had docked in some fishing town. You kept watch while Elle slept and then the two of you were back on land again. “Where are you taking me Driver?”
“Relax, I’m safer with you around,” Elle told you. It was true, so the two of you kept travelling together as you worked to figure out who wanted you dead. The list was a long one, but over the course of the year, the two of you offed every single person on that list. It was sort of bittersweet, having your safety, but at the cost of possibly losing Elle. Maybe she hadn’t grown to love you like you had grown to love her. “I’m thinking of taking a little vacation in the Bahamas. You wanna come with me?”
“A vacation sounds nice,” you said with a small smile. “Even if it’s with you.”
“I was going to say it was a reward for your cooperation. But now all I’m gonna say is fuck you,” Elle teased.
“Gently.” You placed your arms around Elle’s neck and leaned up to kiss her.
Shatter (Elle Driver x Reader)
For a moment, her heart had shattered. It didn’t stop, it didn’t crack, no, it shattered. Then, all the happy memories that Elle had once shared with you went out the window. With a small nod and a somber face, Elle accepted the contract to kill you. Better to kill the bitch herself. At least that’s what she had told herself every second leading up to the moment in question.
You knew it was only a matter of time before a hit was called out on you. There had been a few, but they’d all failed before Elle came along. The two of you had a pretty awful relationship most of the time and a catastrophic breakup. You’d gone off the grid for years trying to figure out how to heal yourself and well, she’d just gone on with a life of killing. By the time that you’d made yourself known again, a part of you foolishly hoped that nobody remembered who you were.
It wasn’t like you were a big time killer. You’d been training then. Bill and Elle had trained you, more so Elle. She had seen the good in you and taken you away, but that good faded away when the guilt came and there wasn’t anything for either of you anymore. However, neither of you were good at letting things just die peacefully, so you dragged the hell out of your relationship until it became unbearable.
“You never did have good taste, did you lovely?” Elle’s voice called out from the darkest corner of your living room. It was late and you’d just gotten home from your shift at the bar. It reminded you of where you’d grown up and the little place in Texas where you’d stayed whenever Bill took you in. “You left a lot of unfinished business when you ran away.”
“Are you here to tie up my loose ends?” you asked and Elle stepped towards you. She had a gun pressed just above your rib cage now. At the angle she held it, the bullet would nearly pierce the heart, but not get the job finished. Elle was a good killer, but sometimes she overlooked the more technical details. That was where you had shined, always finishing up the jobs with clinical efficiency.
“More like cut the string completely and set it on fire.” The anger really cut through Elle’s voice. Still, you could hear desperation in her tone. She was always a little desperate whenever it came to you, always a little vulnerable whether she knew it or not. “I’d say Bill sends his regrets, but I never was good at lying to you.”
Those were cruel last words. The gunshot was so loud. You’d always hated guns, thought they were messy and loud. Even with a silencer on, you could hear the gun. Elle hadn’t used a silencer, which was dangerous where you lived. It was a crowded street in a fairly wealthy neighborhood, someone would hear it and call the cops. Hell, she’d probably start a panic a few blocks wide. Elle liked the attention sometimes though, even if she swore that she didn’t.
Elle didn’t stay to make sure that you were gone. She just left you there, slumped on the floor in a puddle of your own blood. That had hurt worse than the bullet had. The idea that Elle would physically hurt you so badly and then just leave you to rot was earth-shattering. A part of you wished that you’d just die, but you laid there waiting for the sweet release that never did come.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I saw on the news that a woman was brought in a few months ago with a gunshot wound to the chest. My, um, friend was in a similar incident while I was away on vacation and none of the other hospitals had her.” Elle fidgeted as she waited for the nurse to bring up your information.
“Room 315,” the nurse said and Elle went on her way. She hoped that it wasn’t you, that she wouldn’t have to see you laying in that bed alive. Elle took a deep breath and pushed open the door to your hospital room.
“Y/n,” Elle whispered as she saw you laying in that bed. If seeing your name had shattered her heart, this absolutely decimated it. Elle slowly walked towards your bed and took your hand in hers. No matter what, Elle knew that you couldn’t be alive. Another person would get a contract if it got out that she had failed, so Elle turned her back to you and yanked out every cord that she saw. “I’m sorry, but it has to be me who does it. This way, it means something lovely.”
