Freakishly stupid behaviour

As I reviewed broadcast "news"* on a simultaneous track during my indiggae's work tasks, I watched a curious entry about birds falling deceased from the sky and hundreds of thousands of fish dying without obvious cause in a mid-country region of the United States of America.

The worrisome numbers grew as concerned officials discovered more details. 

As soon as the reports included the fact that the kill-off was species-specific, I realized what happened, and immediately contacted Rra Stidt. 

Yes, Stidt knew of the incident, and blamed the appropriate interloper: Group 348. Sloppy flyovers, malicious foolishness, no attempt to implant the usual excuses and random theories into local communications. The very lack of conspiracy theories riffled and floated into the populace as is the usual procedure was irresponsible. I became irritated then more irritated as the day passed and no rumors flew, no claims or suppositions were posited. Scientists proferred only a few foolish speculations: explosives celebrating the new year** (since of course there are so MANY incidents of drum fish dying after fireworks) and environmental toxins, and other ridiculous broad enough for a 125-mile radius.

I insinuated a suggestion to my indiggae to send via electronic message to someone in the scientific community (well, what serves thereby) that he search for commonality between the red-winged blackbird and drum fish, hoping that they would isolate the similar vibratory wavelengths which gave them the real explanation. Then I realized she absolutely positively KNEW what the source of the problem was, and intended to do NOTHING about it. She knows that no one will believe her, and has shrugged it off. 

It is not our assignment to exact retribution for this incident, but I have registered it and hope someone, some thing, some place, will rap the virtual knuckles of the spoiled brats*** who run the Group.

* Dominating mass broadcast feed of current events or happenings, exacerbated by pinpointed characteristics for localized viewers; often complete fabrications to preoccupy large groups, thus buying linear time to draw attention from actual events

** As all constructs with specific date-times, it is accompanied by celebration that condones amoral and/or irregular behaviour.

*** Another piquant example of local slang for 'ill mannered, selfish, undisciplined young human.'
