The reason why i love Julian in the scene when Cait lost control trying to help Iris:

He has been on the receiving end of her darkness once before after being kidnapped by her and had his arm frozen, he knows what she can do, what she could do again. But he doesn’t let that phase him bc he knows she is a good person. He begins to talk her down and she is listening to him and he could’ve easily carried on his speech stood on the opposite side of the bed.

But instead he to a risk that he knew all too well could end badly, but he didn’t care, he walked around the bed until he was stood right beside her. He never once was tentative in the way he got closer to her bc he isn’t afraid of her.

He then took an even bigger risk when he reached out and held her arm. Now she could have quite easily hurt him again like she has done before but she doesn’t, she just listens to him and less than a minute later, she takes back control.

When she has lost control before, she has seen people be so afraid of her, cower away from her, run away from her. She knows what from what shes been told about her doppelgänger and from what she herself has done, that she knows what she is capable of doing. All of these things make her afraid of herself.

The reason why Julian holding her arm was so important is bc he knows exactly whats shes feeling without her even having to say it. He did it to prove to her that she is not the monster that she thinks she is and that means a lot to her bc he trusts her enough to get that close to her and he believes in her enough to know she wont hurt him.

He is the 1st person that shes ever encountered who hasnt shown any sign of fear in his body language, his voice or his facial expressions he hasnt looked at her any differently or treated her any differently bc of their current situation. In fact hes the ONLY person who hasn’t bc even team flash looked at her with so much sadness and guilt that she wasnt letting them help her and that they were afraid for a moment they might not be able to pull her back from it.

And that is why i love him ❤❤
