Different kind
Today I’ve experienced a different kind of frustration - not as pushing and horrible as the one experienced yesterday but more trivial. My phone stopped working you see. Yes, it’s an iPhone. Yes it’s old. Yes I’ve splashed water on it. And in it I had a bunch of photos from today that I wanted to upload to the public tumblr eye, but for naught. It has dieded, and probably for good.
I was playing a game and happily noticed that it had 70% left, even though most of the day had gone by. But then I noticed the touch calibration failing and then it went black. Yay. And then during math class Siri decided to tell me that “I didn’t quite get that”. And she did that three times. Thank you, Siri, for almost getting me thrown out during an explanation of pythagoras triangle. No but seriously, thank you, that shit was boring me to death.
In my phone, however, I had pictures of todays doctor appointment and my school lunch and a very special moment. You see, today I got hit in the face with a leek. Yes, those green long things you chop up and put in food.
There is this thing on my school called “Killer”. This activity is something that you can participate in at will (it’s not mandatory or anything). Basically, once you’ve said that you wanna participate you get a name of a random person at school that also participates. Then you have to “kill” this person with either a big fat red sausage (or “falukorv” as we say in Sweden), a leek, a bread, a carrot or a cucumber. Those are the things I know of at least, I don’t participate. You then have to hit this person who’s name you got with either of these objects. However! If you’re participating and DON’T feel like getting hit with a sausage that particular thursday (this goes on for a week) then you can dress up with certain protection. That means that you have to wear a list of things to avoid getting hit.
A bicycle helmet
A bathrobe
Paddles (those things divers have on their feet)
Colorful pantyhose
And a fake pregnant belly (most commonly a pillow stuffed under your shirt)
So basically, if you don’t know of this activity and come to my school during “killer week” you’re gonna have a baaaad time. No but, you’re gonna be slightly weirded out by people walking around with paddles in school corridors.
And well, today I accidentally got in the way of a killing session and got hit in the face by a flying leek-piece. I then smelled leek all day. It was weird.
