ARI MELTED BENEATH THE GENTLENESS OF her mother’s touch, chuckling as Mary’s hand patted the chocolate crown of her head not once, not twice, but THREE whole times! PAT, PAT, PAT!

“hi, mmm … ma … hi, Mama,” Ari greeted her warmly. The innocent twinkle in Ari’s eyes always gleamed a bit brighter whenever Mary was near. "I lll ... I love Mama."

Though Ari was previously engrossed in the Thrilling Activity of Drawing, her crayons and coloring sheet were quickly abandoned at the table—a half-finished blush pink tulip, meant to be a gift for Mary—so that she could reach a free little hand out to her mother, attempting to return the playful gesture.

A glance was hurled at the other mage, as he allowed her words to reverberate his ears --- consequently letting a miscellany of contemplations to run through cerebrum, all of them forming an ideal plan for victory. He wasn't accustomed in receiving orders, knowing that he is a well adepted mage in a variety of fields. But in this case, he unveiled no grievances as the vanquishment of the enemy held greater importance than his own ego.

Therefore, a piercing glance was directed at the foes in front of them, remaining tacit. In his mind, he had already created a plan to be executed. Notwithstanding that he would have effortlessly brought them to their vanquishment with his own supreme prowess, he had also acknowledged that this type of plan could result to the catastrophy of an area. ( the last thing his grandfather needed was more paperwork to fill, and for Laxus to assist in ) Thus, he remained hidden behind several bushes with the younger mage. In the end, he provided a nod, beckoning his approval.

Words laced with perpetual austerity yet the faint hint of worrisome was there.

A rhetorical question served as half - part of a response. In actuality, the valorous knight never paid attention to such particularities. But seeing the, what appeared in her eyes to be, wonderment showcased by the other mage, combined with an exclamation that unveiled aforementioned sentiment, was enough to convince her that something as simplistic as her height can create such a reaction.

Hopefully this was meant in the literal way she perceived it, rather than in a metaphorical way that she could not comprehend.

Vigorous arms had taken a folded formation underneath armoured sternum, as thin lips formed a curve eventually unveiling amusement at such guiltless situation. It was not the first time she would receive words laced with plaudit, nor it would be the last, seemingly. But it was definitely infrequent getting praise over something such as this.

Maybe the height difference between them was the factor that sparked this.

An unfortunate yet predictable statement had just echoed cranial walls. Staidness was illustrated upon gallant facade, as umber complexions would concentrate attentiveness towards the shorter figure. One that she remembers quite well, regarding their first encounter.

And it was not the first time that the valorous fairy had to deal with someone that wishes for their sins to be atoned. Several comrades of hers had walked the path towards obscurity and thankfully they diverted from it --- choosing the path for their betterment of their own. Jellal was a prime exemplar of such. And then there was crime sorciere and anyone who has joined said independent Guild. It was tough, for sure. But to see all these individuals becoming better people, not just for the public eye, but for themselves was an aleviating sight to behold. And Mary was no exception to this.

For now, all what Erza could do is offer her support. The path to redemption was no easy path to walk on, but those with courage and willpower will succeed doing so. That's what she believed.

For fuck's sake.

Lineaments upon canvas illustrated annoyance at excellence. A customary sentiment, usually displayed due to certain individuals. Some of them even bearing the same insignia as he does, some others do not. A heavy exhalation transpired, enhancing the depiction of said emotion, with a vein surfacing upon his forehead. For the final view to behold; perspiration would morph in a single drop, strolling through the skin of his face.

It was not the first time she had an attitude with him, nor it would be the last either. Of course, Laxus wasn't taking himself out of the equation, either. After all, he was reputed for his rather boorish behaviour at several circumstances. ( Talk about being the ultimate obstruction to his path as a potential Wizard Saint )

For now, he had to deal with Mary and her shenanigans.

And he would hurl a glance at the significantly shorter individual that stood in front of his sight. One that hadn't seen in a long while, one might say. But alas, knowing his boorish manners ( despite if unintentionally several times ) he had to unveil what his mind thought of --- all of that whilst maintaining accustomed austerity upon masculine mien.

Mary peeks from behind the threshold of his door to their temporary flat. A living situation that benefits the both of them while they’re on parole, under Lamia Scale mages. “Mooooornin’, roomie,~” she reveals two tall glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice. “What colour are you thinking?      The Heavenly Body mage [ tears ] his eyes away from the instruction pamphlet, turning his head towards the sound of her voice. At the sight of the glasses, he smiles ― stands up, walks toward her & takes the one handed to him with a soft "thanks".

     On the floor lay his TRUSTED sleeping bag - a years-old, worn out, raggedy thing, but still one of the only things he owns. Scattered papers surround the spot he was sitting in, as well as an oil lamp. And in the middle of the room ― the pieces of an already half-assembled desk.

A bookshelf also stands tall against the wall ; evidence that the blue-haired mage has been awake for a while now.

     He takes a sip, & mulls the question over before replying. "No idea. I haven't thought about it yet." Peculiar, considering how much of his night had been spent awake & STARING at the ceiling.

     "I'd be fine with leaving them as is, however―" His gaze travels the room, bumping on a few cracks and stains before he finishes.

               "―I have an inkling that you WON'T let me do that."

Fact about Mary: she spent most of her teen years studying magic & alchemy as a hobby. Now that she’s in her 20s, her hobbies include styling hair, learning foreign recipes, and reading works of fiction.

I haven't thought about the timeline yet but Dorian studied at the Fiore university, focusing on magical theory, history, alchemy and such things. He still loves to learn and study and likes to keep up with the latest articles/papers/books that come out.

He also enjoys reading fiction as a hobby! Some of his other hobbies are painting/drawing, going to markets/fairs, swimming, wood carving, stargazing, cooking, doing puzzles, gardening, building things, and creating/crafting.
