How exactly was Redshift supposed to solve that?”
“I don’t know, you tell me,” Natia replied as she set up the fake ranged missiles for Kim’s training session.
“Well, I’ll tell you how,” Kim continued. “By waiting for me to get him out. What sort of—”
“It can’t have been that bad,” Elliot said from the other side of the room. (Despite his brave words, he was standing well out of reach, and had strategically placed Natia in between him and Kim.) “I mean, it’s not like you died.”
“My eardrums did,” Kim said sourly. “So much shrieking. And that traffic situation didn’t improve until Alex got the fuck out of there, and then I could finally do my job.”
“You know, I think it would be a lot more productive to vent your frustrations through training,” Natia ‘suggested,’ which was Kim’s cue to end their rant and decimate some dummies— it was a good stress release.
