Kim Won-Jin (Hangul:김원진, born 1 May 1992) is a South Korean judoka. He won a bronze medal in the 60 kg event at the 2013 World Judo Championships. He is currently ranked No. 1 in the world (as of 8 February 2016)
One of the most talented kickers and acrobats to ever star in a kung fu film. Korean super-kicker, Kim Won-Jin, in “Operation Scorpio” (1992).
The guy in purple is Korean kicking extraordinaire, Kim Won-Jin. For some reason, despite proving he was one of the best on screen kickers to have ever lived, Kim only ever appeared in eight movies. Look at that fifth gif. Just look at it. He does a half somersault and then lands in a crab position. All without using wires. That’s fucking bonkers. The guy had insane control over his body. This scene is from his most well known film, “Operation Scorpio” aka “The Scorpion King”. The film was choreographed by three legends: Lau Kar Leung, Corey Yuen and Yuen Tak (who’s getting beaten up in the above gif set).
