Laid out Soldaat in the living room to get a rough idea of how big he is. He’s missing most of his tail and some finger tips (the site said he was a complete skeleton so Idk) but he’s got some SERIOUS arthritis problems

Everyone, meet Soldaat!

My early Christmas present to myself, a complete Patas monkey skeleton from Skulls Unlimited! This is my first primate and I’m blown away by how big it is since it was only $299 (free shipping because Holidays!). The patas monkey lives in West Africa in open areas with very little tree coverage. They can run up to 34mph and are also known as “military monkeys” due to their cool mustache! Soldaat is the Afrikaans word for “Soldier”.
