oh my god i was readjng breaking the collar earlier and im here to say THAT I FUCKING LOVE THE SERIES. i am honestly a sucker for crime related fics / true crime in general, and knowing this can also happen in real life is terrifying so it always keeps me on edge. i do also hope you are taking care of yourself and not to overwhelm / stress yourself too much for the last chapter !

thank you so much!! i was scared that no one would like this fic since this is so different from canon but it's great to know that there are other people like me hehe

also i'm actually finally beginning to get excited about this final chapter because it'll actually come out on time for once!! i just have one last round of edits for chapter 5, two rounds of edits for the epilogue, and then this series will be posted and complete :D

oh my god I genuinely started crying after reading the last two chapters of breaking the collar and i havent done that IN SO LONG 😭

how did it feel to write all of this? everytime i draw or write something with as much angst/sadness this fic has i always have to cry atleast some point in making it

tbh this is going to sound so sick but when i was writing this, i was just really excited. like, ik it became obvious in the previous chapter that diluc and kaeya were questionable characters, but the motion of actually writing it out? and finally getting to type the truth after literal months of working towards this climax? ~exquisite~ and the joy of getting to see the story finally come together definitely outweighed the angst for me

now, childe's final ending did make me sad :( in chapters 1 and 2, i planned on ending with his suicide, but in chapter 3 and 4 i was like noooo i like him too much for that, but my inner bully came out for the final ig. either way, writing those last 2k words did hurt :(
