Hi there! What 3D modeling software do you use the most? Autodesk products? But yeah I feel you on that love hate relationship with it :(
yeah I use autodesk, I use 3ds max and thought myself revit a few months ago. I actually like autodesk products, their ui’s are really nicely planned and there’s so much more freedom and ability and just? so nice to use? like granted they are really complicated to learn how to use? but once you got it and you understand all the commands and how to build, how to modify how to just do everything, they’re the best programs to use and you can make your work look so incredibly realistic, which to me is super important
I fucking hate sketchup. imo it’s one of the worst programs for 3d work. the ui is soooooooooo fucking bad, the graphics are so poor, the rendering be it vray, podium, twilight, etc are literally so cartoonish. and just ? horrible to use and illogically laid out. like I get people who never use like maya or rhino or 3ds or revit that they find it’s easy to use and stuff, but it’s literally such a horrible software. like the way to build things are in such a round about way because it’s made to be ‘easier’ but like restricts you so much. you can want to make an extrusion, something super simple to do on other softwares, but on sketch up lol it’s just so dknfj stupid but anyway. that’s just my opinion lol like I get people think that autodesk programs are super complicated so they tend to go to sketch up but idk to me it’s the opposite, like the learning curve is steep, I get it, and it’s easy to give up because it feels like nothing works or makes sense or is just too complicated, but once you get passed that, omg it’s the most wonderful programs to use with so much freedom
