MOTHER: 2009 film from Parasite director Bong Joon-Ho. An incredible tour de force by lead actress Kim Hye-ja whom plays the titular "mother" of the film. I think she was 66 at the time of filming and carries this film throughout. She's mesmerizing. She won just about every Korean "Best Actress" award for this and even one from the LA Film Critics Association. Great performances all around & Bong's direction is on point, as always. He really knows how to create atmosphere & mood w/ any surrounding. Just awesome. It won a ton of awards as well including several U.S. ones but wasn't even nominated for an Oscar. Gw lagi punya hobby nonton film Korea, sampai2 teman-teman chat gw, semua gw cuekin saking keranjingan nonton.
