I’ve struggled with wording this post, but I think I should just be blunt: interacting with the community sometimes makes me ashamed of being a canine. It hurts to see fellow therians and nonhumans being angry or upset that there’s a lot of canines or wolves in the community. Just today within five or so minutes of scrolling I saw four different posts focusing on how many wolves there are. I, on several occasions, have tried suppressing my canine identity in favor of being “more” dragon; but it doesn’t go away. I can’t stop being a canine.

Please be a good community member, support your canine allies. Seek out your own species if you wish to see more of them, rather than putting down others.

If anyone has any angel journaling ideas or resources or prompts or whatever that aren't super christian I'd be really grateful. I've been trying to find stuff and the only things I can find that I like are images and layout ideas and stuff like that. I'd really love some writing prompts or ideas for my journal.

A little kin shift update

So recently I've realized my right wing has been acting weird? It doesn't seem to want to open correctly.

Also, today I've been feeling basically wolf ears, snout and tail, but dragon wings. Very weird to have both shifting!

Wearing my tail (it’s a big, stuffed tail) around the house has genuinely improved my mood. Even if I’m just sitting or doing something mundane, like carrying laundry, it makes “humaning” so much more tolerable. Before I never really wore gear, aside from occasionally my tail or ears out to special occasions (parades, fairs, etc), for fear of breaking it or wearing it down— but I realized the point of owning something is that it’s meant to be used (trying to unlearn the whole “keep figures in their boxes” mindset) and honestly? It’s so, so nice. I took a nap wearing my tail today. I woke up warm and happy.

I never really understood what some therians meant when they said they view their pets as pack members or children— sure, I definitely get more about the pack part, my dog is apart of my family and thus my pack, and she is my equal— until today. I got a puppy, which is a new experience since I rescued my first dog when she was around a year old, and I definitely feel so much more protective of him. I can’t quite explain the feeling, but teaching and caring for him really kicks in my canine instincts. While he may not be /my/ pup, he’s apart of my pack now, and it’s my job to raise him.

“I want to go home.” Is a phrase that often crosses my mind. I could be sitting in my room, or on the couch, or at the kitchen table, and I’ll still think I want to go home, because if we’re being honest, this isn’t home. I’m grateful to have a den this large where I’m not in the rain or cold- especially now that I’m lacking my coat or scales to resist the elements, but I can’t help but long to go home. To be in the woods again.

I saved up enough and I finally can buy paws!!! I’m very excited!! I’ll post em once they arrive :3

I’m in desperate need of games with non-human player options. I don’t mean games where /everyone/ is an animal- those are very fun and yes I enjoy them, but I need games where being an animal is right alongside the human choices. And /no/ Skyrim or dragons dogma or etc doesn’t count, I’m not talking anthros or humanoids.

I’d like to just be in a game lobby and be perceived as an animal there too. Creature with a controller. I think it’d be nice :3
