I keep reading about a study done in 2019 that showed that, opposite of conventional wisdom, people are not meaner online; if they're generally nice people they stay nice online despite anonymity and if they're mean online they're jerks offline as well. I've seen it referenced several times but with no link to the original study and when I try to search around that time all I can find are studies showing something very much like the opposite.
Is there anybody know the study I'm talking about and is willing to link me to it?
