Can we hear more about king and queenie? I’m DDD: their death is so sad

This is gonna be an abridged verion after what happened last night.

King and Queenie are two of Sykes's kids. They grew up running drugs and stealing to get money for their father. That was how they first met Rose and Ace. Someone was trying to steal the drugs from them, Rose didn't like adults trying to beat on two little kids, and the twins saved the younger twins. When King and Queenie ran away, Ace realized that it was missing something.

Queenie had seen one of the scariest people on the Isle and decided to steal its wallet. It was too impressed to be mad.

They had a few more run-ins, but nothing worth note until the night Ace rescued Diego. Rose was getting help and she saw King, who she knew was fast and wasn't in the crosshairs. She liked the kids, so she decided to extend a hand of "friendship" to them. She offered both of them gems she'd lifted from her mother to pay them to get help. And those kids got help faster than Rose ever could have.

That one deal turned into a partnership. King and Queenie were always hanging around Rose and Ace, hoping the Hearts twins would have some important message to deliver. Rose and Ace humored them, sometimes even paying for messages that weren't all that important. After a while, they found that they genuinely liked having King and Queenie around. King and Queenie found themselves looking up to them as older siblings. Still, they didn't trust each other for a long time.

Then, Rose and Ace vanished. A bunch of other people did, too, but King and Queenie didn't care about them. They wouldn't admit it, but they were worried about the Hearts siblings. The Queen was every bit as brutal as Bill Sykes and they were starting to worry that she had the twins locked in a dungeon or something.

When they finally saw Ace, it didn't reassure them. They saw it alone, leaning in an alleyway, no Rose in sight. Rose and Ace were always a package deal- if one was there, the other was usually a few feet away. But she was nowhere to be seen.

Ace asked them for something, said that calling it a favor wouldn't do it justice. It offered a heart-shaped ruby the size of its head before it even told them what it needed.

It needed their help breaking into one of Sykes's drughouses. A drughouse where he and Maleficent were holding a bunch of kids. And Rose was one of them.

They didn't want to, of course. Their father terrified them. But this was Rose... if they were to help, they would need more than money. They would need protection. Could Ace get them fast-tracked into Uma's gang?

Better. It could offer them a spot in the Hearts family, a home in Salazan's Grum. It and Rose had been considering it for a while, but the time never felt right to ask them. It hadn't, not until now.

Queenie and King accepted. They agreed to lead people into their father's facility to rescue the hostages in exchange for Ace promising to gaslight its mother into thinking she'd forgotten about having another set of twins.

What they found there is a story for another day, but they saw the relief on Ace's face when it saw that Rose was alive. They saw it bound across the dungeon to hug her as hard as possible, and they saw her hug it back. They had never seen a family like that before meeting Rose and Ace. And gods, they desperately wanted to be a part of it.

And so they were.
