Nutcracker Season 2022 Day 9 - Fighting against an enemy
Today’s piece is pretty last minute and rushed. Been a lot going on lately. But I wanted to draw my boy Raide since I haven’t gotten to draw him yet! And I’ve never drawn him wearing his mouse mask before, so I wanted to see what that looked like. I like it!
Nutcracker Season 2022 Day 11 - Meeting the Mouse King
Today’s piece is kinda simple. I’ve got some stuff I need to get done today. And I did my workout wrong yesterday so I’m hurting a bit. But I think I captured the key points of this moment. Claire is ready to take out some rats. Raide is unimpressed. This is moments before he curses her to be the size of a mouse.

🦉 Who is your antagonist?
Hello! So, to begin, my version of The Nutcracker is a little bit on the darker side. For example; cute and or derpy mouse army? No. Creepy zombie rats? Hard yes!
While I did say it’s an army of rats, there is still a Mouse King. However he himself is not a rodent. He’s actually a human. But he wears a mouse themed masquerade mask. This is our antagonist, The Mouse King - his name is Raide. He leads the rat army and is almost always on the front lines.
But that’s not all. My version of the story is called The Nutcracker: War of Queens after all. The one who who gives Raide his orders is of course, the Rat Queen (his adoptive mother). She’s a mysterious and cruel sorceress. And few have seen her face…
Nutcracker Season 2022 Day 16 - A day in the life of the mouse king
Yeah… Raide’s life isn’t a happy one I’m afraid. But don’t worry as Martha Dunnstock would say, I’m a sucker for a happy ending. In case it wasn’t clear, the one talking is the Rat Queen.
While I didn't finish Nutcracker Month, I have this. So I hope that makes up for it. Here are my babies from my adaptation of the Nutcracker. I love them all very much! I know some of the frames are crooked, and that is definitely gonna bug me. But I’m still happy with how these came out. I’ve had these in the works for months! I’m glad to finally have them finished!

During the Nutcracker livestream I drew my own Nitcracker bois, a lot! I was having a really shitty days cause of personal stuff right before the stream. But the stream really cheered me up! So thank you to everyone in there!
