Its been a while since we had a story update so I’d like to take this time to explain a few things to the audience.
Firstly, yes it is still ongoing. One of my rp partners has just been out of town lately and we wanted to finish up his part before moving on.
Secondly, the next part is written (for the most part) so its ready to go whenever we do finish up this act. I have the evidence planned out and just need to draw it.
Lastly, for those who are still taking part, or just waiting on an update, thank you so much for being patient. I will get the story rolling as quickly as I can.
But for now, how about a brief synopsis?
By the end of the first day of the trial, Burgerpants is still considered a suspect, however much of the blame has been shifted to Papyrus so who knows how long it will go for.
The major evidence blaming Paps are a bone which belongs to him being discovered at the crime scene near the dust pile of the victim. There is also witness testimony that he was indeed at the Snowdin Store around the time the shop owner was found dead.
At present however, the true culprit has not appeared, and a replacement prosecutor has been called in. Said replacement was none other than Mettaton who was just met in the current act. He applied a strange device to the defense which prevents him from teleporting and now he only has time enough to visit one of the two suspects before visiting hours are over.
I still have a piece of evidence that MTT needs to leave behind, but hopefully he will address it in the next reply.
Well that’s everything. I hope you all continue to support the story and enjoy the future acts!
Suddenly, the door is blown open. A glaring blue light shines forth. *Maya. All that bullshit they're spouting? Lies. And you proved that just a few minutes ago.
“Whoa!” Maya jumped and put her hand over her chest. “Jesus S-Sansix!”
“A-And how exactly did I prove that? I-I really am worthless and just a waste...”
Toriel: Well now, that shortcut was certainly good! I will have to learn to do that myself one day! But back to business, we need to find evidence of what happened here. I’ll start combing the... W-wait, what happened here?
*The storefront was being blocked off by a squad of guard dogs. It doesn’t look like they are prepared to move any time soon.*
It is now after the first day of the trial. Your client and Papyrus have both been carted off to their respective holding areas at the Hotlands and Snowdin guard stations. It seems that the entire Underground is in an uproar! But none are more so than your partner.
Toriel: How could you do that? I know Papyrus personally and he would never do something so heartless! And isn’t it your job to defend the innocent? What could you have possibly been thinking?
@king-under-mount-ebott After doing a bit of work on the story, I have decided to to a short skit in which you decide to what locations you will be able to visit. Yep, in this story, you have to make choices! What questions to ask and who to talk to will eventually determine what evidence you have access to as well as how the story will progress.
For now though, you only need to decide where to go. I will post a brief starter so feel free to check on it when you have time.
You can hardly believe it, one day you were just an average citizen of the Underground, the next you were called in on an important matter. Probably one of the worst things to happen to the Underground since the death of Prince Asriel... Somebody was murdered just the day before, and it falls on you to defend the one who was blamed for it.
But more on that later. For now, allow me to introduce myself.
Toriel: Hello my child, my name is Toriel. I was assigned to be your assistant during this case since there have been so few lawyers in recent years and thus so few who actually know the law. Oh, but I must be rambling. Please, introduce yourself! I can’t wait to get to know you! @king-under-mount-ebott
