Posriel needs to go home, Gabriel. And I am not sure how you wish for us to handle things.

I know he does, he just didn't wanna go without you.

I'd like you to handle things...politely? There's no real protocol for emergency visits to Home as far as I can tell.

Of course it doesn't go according to plan, because that's just the way the universe works: horribly and unfairly.

She's unarmed, of course -- he's not stupid -- but Maion's always been a strong fighter, and with the successfully lured and now incredibly pissed god on side and her on the other, Gabriel exhausts himself trying to stay on the defensive.

"You ought to have stayed gone," Maion hisses, which unaccountably makes Czernobog pause -- he can't still think Gabriel is truly just a pagan, can he? -- and gives Gabriel enough time to kick Maion's feet out from under her and knock her flat on her back.

"You shouldn't bother getting up," he returns coolly, not that she could even if she tried, not now that Gabriel's got her pinned.

"Your friend is right," Czernobog comments, and if Gabriel wasn't as fast as he is, the blade Czernobog's suddenly wielding would have run him through; as it is, it grazes along his ribs, and by the way that it burns beyond the sting of a cut, Gabriel's glad he moved.

"Sister," he corrects, then, "was that holy oil? I'm almost impressed."

Czernobog smirks, but it falls away when Gabriel tilts his head, ignoring the sting of the cut -- it's not fatal, anyway, he'll deal with it later -- and closes then opens his palm, holding what could be described as a ball of light.

"Who organized this little revenge party?" he asks, very calmly, giving the other god one chance and watching Maion struggle against the force keeping her pinned out of the corner of his consciousness. 

Czernobog grits his teeth, and Gabriel sighs. "I'm going to kill you either way," he informs the god, "it's really up to you whether it's quick or slow and painful."

It's sort of a bluff. At this point, it's going to have to be quick and painful, if Gabriel wants to deal with Maion before he holes up to deal with the exhaustion and pain that's making itself more known.

But apparently Czernobog buys it.

"New god," he grunts, still not dropping his blade, "Corporation, called herself."

Gabriel nods thoughtfully and fully expects what seems to be really mostly a kamikaze attack by Czernobog. He comes out of it with a cut on his cheek, as well, but grins at Czernobog and flicks his wrist, flooding the room with what's really just light, listening to the other god's shrieks of pain and fear.

Maybe it's a little too poetic, destroying the dark god with light, but it works, and Gabriel gives Maion a look. She'd been cut off as soon as they left Heaven, so there's really not much more for him to do.

"Don't bother trying to get back into Heaven," he grates out, wincing a little at the cuts now that he can do so without being vulnerable. 

"And enjoy humanity."

He figures it's a worthwhile consequence, since Maion apparently is so open in her support of Lucifer nowadays. He reminds himself to mention it to Raum, in case it hasn't gone around the obviously well-functioning rumor mill yet.

He'll deal with Corporation later, he decides; if she's new, she shouldn't be too difficult. For now, he completely butchers a flight to his Haven, atop Eyjafjallajökull, barely making the landing, and fairly collapses, resigned to waiting out the healing process.
