20 March 2017: His Majesty The King arrived in Tsenkari, in Nganglam, Pemagatshel to meet the victims of a fire that broke out this morning and to inspect the site. The fire, which began in the early hours of the morning, damaged 14 shops and houses, and two vehicles, although no casualties were reported. 16 August 2016: His Majesty The King spent the morning speaking to the graduates attending the National Graduate Orientation Programme today. Over 2,200 graduates are attending the programme this year. The programme is organized by the ministry of labour as an opportunity for graduates to meet leaders from various sectors and learn about national issues. The National Graduate Orientation Programme is one of the many occasions during which His Majesty meets students from across the country. Besides visiting schools and institutions regularly as part of Royal Tours, His Majesty makes it a point to grant Audiences to students leaving the country for further studies, and during college convocation ceremonies for universities in Bhutan. As a result, in the past 10 years of His Majesty's reign, students from across the country have had the opportunity to meet their King numerous times and at different stages of their lives as they have grown to adulthood.
