Pedophiliaaaa is when someone over the age of 18 hass sexual attractions to anyone prepubescent, which is 12 -14 years of age. So I for one would not consider you by any means a pedophile. And in Canada; where her partner is from, the legal age there is 16 ( i believe), so for them it is legal consent when they are around 14-15 years of age. Because it would be like here (In America) a 16 with anyone over the age of 18~ as 16 is our legal age of consent. (Sorry felt like sharing my opinion)
