this is the next logical progression. they had started with no more than four of their closest friends visiting for dinner, which gradually increased to six, then eight. when jiwon had run out of friends to invite over, they started going out for chimaek and karaoke, and at some point, he worked his way up to hole-in-the-wall pubs. he’d been stuck there for some time, not nearly far enough from his nightmares to brave the house party scene, but as with most things all it took was time. now, nearly three years after the accident, vesper promises that he doesn’t need to do this, but the truth is that jiwon misses it. from the excruciating queues outside to the low bass becoming so intimately enmeshed in his marrow, jiwon wants to experience it all again. which brings them to a deceptively unassuming building buried deep in yongsan, with the brick exterior painted a shade of aquamarine that seems to glow in the sparse streetlights. dressed in a jacket that’s clearly meant more for fashion than warmth, jiwon hides his hands in the pockets of vesper’s jacket and waddles backwards as the queue slowly works its way inside.
“i feel like this is a bad time to say i’m hungry all of a sudden,” jiwon says around a pout, head tilted back to look up at vesper properly. “and i didn’t pack any snacks.”
