Seto Kaiba was a smart man. Dense at times but very intelligent. And it doesn’t take much to gather his attention. Especially with the spite of his adopted step father.

“Hm. I bet you are honored to get my attention. Handing me a card at a gala event and then mentioning Gozaburo’s name does not take much for me to be the slightest interested.”

He took a moment.

“How did you know the asshole anyways?”

Theta had to almost tread lightly when it came to talks like this. Especially when the guards looked as though they would take him down at any minute with another wave of Koschei’s hand.

“Your majesty,” He tried to compose himself. “You told me this would be better for your people, my people. If this truth gets out to others before you can fix it, mutinies will be at large to have your head.”

It was nice. At least according to the Doctor’s standards. That he and the Master were slightly getting better (ish) in their past and current relationship. Although it wasn’t entirely easy, he felt a bit confident and optimistic in this turn out for the first time in a while.

He was heading to the library when he saw the other. Though something triggered...something was wrong. He never saw the other out of his PJs before and it was a bit concerning. 

So he approached with a small smile. “You’re up early.”

*frowns, and jots something down on notepad* we need to work on you level of responsiveness, you know

*blinks rapidly* How am I even supposed to respond to the fact you throw a cake out of absolute nowhere?!

The Doctor knew better not to be in any line of sight from the Master or the bathroom so he was hiding reading in the library when the scream nearly rocked the TARDIS. The ship, meanwhile. gave a pleasing almost chuckling hum in agreement acknowledging what had been done.

Facing the music, he calmly walked to the bathroom but his body convulesed with repressed laughter at the sight of the other.

“I thought---I thought you said you were taking a shower. Not getting yourself d-dirty.” The Doctor managed out barely.

*nudges Twelve, repeatedly and rather insistently*

*goes and pokes the Master repeatedly back*

Though he had his face turned away, the Master watched him from the corner of his eyes. The soft squeeze forced him to look over for real. He tried to hide insecurity behind indifference. "Anywhere they don't want my head on a stick." While that could be fun, he isn't in the mood right now.

“Fair.” The Doctor didn’t want any wars to happen either. Which was why he was a bit hesitant choosing a destination immediately. He knew that if he went to see some former companions, it would cause a mini war. But if he just chose someplace random, it wouldn’t feel as special.

Suddenly he's pulled along behind the Doctor. He allowed it, though a little concerned the other would rather see his so called friends, rather than spend a night with him.

He took a moment at the console, his free hand touching against the screen to figure out when and where they want to. Though he had a feeling the other wasn’t too sure about the choice. He gently squeezed the others hand. “Is there someplace you want to go?”
