Another Christmas song plays on the coffee shop's speakers, and Addison sighs. She loves Christmas songs, but so did someone else she knows, and since they're not exactly around anymore, it's a double-edged sort of thing. She usually would dance and sing along, but it's 4 days until Christmas and she's starting to realise that she doesn't really have anyone to give a gift to besides her mom, and that gift has already been put in the mail. Maybe she should've stayed back home. At least then, she'd have someone to celebrate the holidays with.
She looks up at the customer who's appeared at the register and her eyes widen. "I-I'm sorry, um, have you been standing there long? I wasn't really... Er, how may I help you?"
