A magenta-haired, barefoot girl running across the quad like the bats of hell were after her wasn’t exactly an everyday sight at King University, nor was it a regular occurrence for the girl herself; but, some recent news had prompted her to an almost mindless need for distraction. She wanted to get her blood pumping and her adrenaline raised so that she couldn’t hear even hear her own thoughts over the sound of rushing blood in her ears -- of course, that tactic didn’t really work. Eventually, the sprinting came to a sudden stop and she dropped, rather roughly, so that her back rested against a tree well off the beaten path. The tears were almost instantaneous, an unpleasant brew of emotional, and also physical, pain. Without a doubt, she’d probably done a little damage to her feet by blindly charging into the King wilderness; however, she didn’t seem to care. Her position with legs hugged tightly to her chest and her head bowed into the shadow of her knees clearly resonated a demand for isolation -- something she hadn’t really checked to see if she actually had.
