“Oh no, I only ordered one--” Olivia had tried to protest, but she failed, and the waitress waved off the woman’s attempt to return the spare peppermint mocha that she had in her hand, merely stating that it would waste if she returned it and to enjoy the free drink. But, too much coffee would send her skyrocketing into chaos with too much caffeine and sugar. She sighed, and glanced around before smiling at a person near her hopefully, “Peppermint Mocha? I was given a free one but drinking two isn’t a good idea.” she smiled softly, “Not poisoned, I swear.”

“The next woman that tells me to take my shirt off is goin’ to get charged for a show.” he took a sip of his water, already wishing that he could just skip to the drunken festivities and find someone to lose himself in for a couple of hours. “I mean, I’m all for doin’ a strip show for the ladies but still... I know my worth.”

To say she was exhausted was an understatement, Chloe had not been adjusting to school, her talkative nature had gotten her into trouble a few times, and she had dealt with more tantrums in the days after picking up then she had in her daughters entire lifetime. It was harder than she thought dealing with single motherhood without her parents and brothers around, as much as she wouldn’t admit that to her mom. She was stubborn enough to keep on, however, and the minute she dropped Chloe off for what would end up another frustrating day of school, she was in the nearest place that she could get coffee. Her thoughts were a million miles away, trying to figure how to help her daughter when she realised she had sat down without looking, “Oh god, I’m sorry were you going to sit here?” she asked the nearest person, not even sure that she hadn’t cut them up in her daze.

“Enjoying your food?” Liv grinned down at Chloe, her mini replica, as the younger Hamilton looked up at Olivia with a wide grin. She was enjoying all the festivities, it had always been a favourite holiday for both of them, always going all out for the halloween celebrations no matter where they were. Coupled with facetiming with the family back in California earlier that day, Chloe was feeling on cloud nine and happy, something she hadn’t seen in her daughter in a while. “What do you wanna do next?” the woman asked, and Chloe mumbled through a mouthful, “’aunted house?” she managed. Olivia had been about to reply when she caught someones eye, “Oh hey, we were going to check out the haunted house have you been in yet?”
