Liv is the single mother of Chloe, a ball of cuteness who wants to be a veterinarian ballerina.
She was born in Napa, California to Helena and Matthew Hamilton. She is the youngest child of six, with one older sister and four older brothers, she’s the typical spoilt baby, loved and doted on by her siblings.
Her mother was harsh and cruel, over critical on all her children. Liv however, seemed to be unable to please the woman.
She did whatever she could, developing a passion for ballet that lead to her mother becoming over critical on everything Olivia did, from how she danced to everything she ate.
At 13, she got into the school of american ballet and moved to board in NYC. Being away from her mother for the first time was overwhelming, and she gained a new independence that she hadn’t experienced before.
After school she joined the American Ballet Theatre, moving from the corps and eventually in line to become a principal dancer. During this time she met a boy, Darren, who constantly pushed her buttons and they fought more than they spoke regularly.
No one they knew thought they’d end up together, they were amazed when they even sat in the same room together.
{CAR ACCIDENT TW} However, mere days before she was due to find out about the principal dancer position, she was in a car accident just outside of New York. Whilst she was going to live, her professional dancing career was over.
{DEPRESSION TW} She tailspinned into a depression, unsure of what to do with her life and she began to drink to much, where she fell into the wrong bed: Darren’s.
They rushed into their relationship, and they were married within weeks. After their marriage, she tried to make a good thing from it. She loved him, or convinced herself that she did. She tried to clean up her act, and retrained in hair and makeup artistry.
{ALCOHOL ABUSE} Darren however, only began to worsen. His abuse of alcohol only continued to grow worse. By 2016 their marriage was over and she woke up to see Darren gone, six weeks later she found out she was pregnant.
She gave birth to her daughter six months later, and her world shifted. She began to revolve around Chloe.
They lived in Napa until Chloe was two, before moving to LA then most recently RI. She wants Chloe to live a relatively normal life, in a small town away from her mother. She tries to keep Darren involved in their life, but it doesn’t happen, with him constantly saying that he will be there and he won’t - leaving her with a disappointed child.
Grateful smile cast towards Olivia, following her to small corner nearby, earshot and hopefully eyeline away from that other woman. ❝ Actually yes, there’s a smaller room next to this one they let me use when swapping outfits. So I doubt they’ll mind much if I decide to also use it to take five. ❞ Sanem mused thoughtfully, faint snorted laugh of her own drops at her friend’s remark. ❝ Maybe we should’ve put a small disclaimer on the invite cause she’s definitely not the first. I get they have their experience but, this journey is one I’ll be figuring out my own way. ❞ And of course with Allison by her side during every step.
Subconsciously placing a hand on her stomach, giving a gentle chuckle this time. ❝ If anything I’d say that’s on par and definitely understandable. But I do still wanna thank you now for all the gifts your brought for the baby and us, cannot wait to dig into them. ❞ Even though she wasn’t too keen on heeding most of the overbearing ‘advice’ tossed in her direction by others, Liv’s was probably one of few she’d accept all tips, needs and such from. ❝ Tempting, might have to hold onto that if she pops back up, for now though, snacks. ❞ Looping an arm with hers, motioning towards the dessert and appetizer stations.
"That’s good, at least you can hide away if needed.” She knew how hard and overwhelming it could be in general when it came to being pregnant in public, but being pregnant in public and the centre of attention? It was a nightmare. There was little that Olivia could do to try and help the situation bar try and steer Sanem away from anyone who might try and accost her when she needed to be left alone.
“Honestly, I love to do it. It’s my love language maybe,” she replied, loving giving gifts to others and to those she cared about, Sanem and Allison definitely making their way onto that list of those she cared about. “Whilst I never give the whole advice thing, like I’d force advice or parental judgment it’s just a reminder to take care of you. I forgot to when I had Chloe.” she knew that it would be the only thing that she ever told an expectant parent. “Honey you read my mind though,” she giggled, the snacks she’d been eyeing when she’d arrived with Grey and Chloe, “So, all things aside how are you?”
Despite the fact Chloe had seemingly forgotten that she was ever shy around him and wouldn’t ever stop talking, not that he minded at all, she had now rescinded to her former shy self. The youngster finding any quiet place she could it seemed whilst she wasn’t with him or Olivia at the baby shower. Finding her tucked once more into a corner with a book she had gotten from god knows where, Greyson smiled, she was a good kid, most would be up to trouble in a room full of people they didn’t know and yet here she was. “Come on little lady let’s go find your mom.” He groaned as he scooped her up into his side, moving them through the crowds before he heard her call his name from where she dangled. “Grey…” “Yes?” “Are you and mom going to make a baby too?” The youngster asked given she had been told it happened when two people kissed earlier and Greyson and her mom did that a lot. His cheeks flushed at the question and he tried to think of some way to answer when Olivia came into sight. “Oh thank god you’re here…your daughter has questions.”
She had been talking to a mom friend she’d met through Chloe’s school when the woman had pointed out Chloe and Greyson coming towards them, and her chest tightened at the sight of them together. Chloe had taken to Greyson so well that it was hard to imagine a time where the two of them hadn’t known each other. To see the two of them together so naturally almost had her in tears, and she excused herself from her conversation to head towards them with a smile. “Hi,” she greeted the two, turning her attention to Chloe in Greyson’s arms with a curious grin. “Oh, what’s up?” she asked. Chloe huffed a little before turning her gaze to Liv, “Are you and Greyson gonna make babies?” she asked again, and Olivia’s smile froze on her lips. Oh god, oh god, oh fuck. The brunette’s cheeks went bright red almost immediately as she cleared her throat, “Uh, well,” how did you even answer a question like that? Then it dawned on her where she had jumped to the conclusion. Double Fuck. She reached to tuck a strand of her daughters hair behind her ears, stalling for time. “Y’know, not now babe. We clearly need a better talk. Uhm, you guys want a drink?” she asked, hoping for a distraction.
She couldn’t keep the smile of her lips, lips meeting his without hesitation. Things were so naturally easy, that for once she wasn’t feeling anxious about the two of them, something that had been previously unfamiliar. The response and the travelling of his hands distracted her for a moment, and his hand lowering for a second had her slowing her movements, leaning into him for a moment before she returned her attention to the ice cream. “I mean, smart woman. I know I try and get fruit in, ‘specially for Chloe but…I’m the worst.” she smiled a little as she listened to him talk about Holly, turning briefly to gaze at him. “Was she onto you?” she asked with a chuckle, scooping ice cream into the bowl and grabbing some chocolate for the toppings, “What do you want on there?” she asked, indicating to the ice cream. His invite however, brought the smile to her lips again as she glanced towards him. She had no plans, and Chloe had come to adore the ranch and Greyson. “I’d like that, she would love that. I doubt we’d get her to come inside but we’d love that if you don’t mind.”

Was it mushy he couldn’t help but notice the way she tucked into his side so perfectly every time she managed to find herself there? His head resting perfectly in the crook of her neck. Maybe he had just been trying to pick faults with those that had come before her but he had always managed to find something wrong with any woman that wasn’t Holly. Her laugh was too loud in a way that made him cringe or she was too small and he couldn’t cope with that much leaning. He didn’t think the tooth paste they used was compatible. No reason had ever been real but he’d clung to it either way and with Olivia? There was just none of that. “Oh she was always onto me, it was a pain.” These days he didn’t buy nearly as much because it just wasn’t as fun stashing it. “All the toppings please, and I mean all of them. You do that and I’ll go pick us a film and pee.” Reaching over he pressed another kiss to her lips and laughed a he set off, his smile ever growing at the thought of spending Christmas with her and Chloe - he was going to need a bigger set of antlers for noble…
The plethora of bags that she’d witnessed Olivia placing down on the gift table made Allison blink and do several overlooks on. Chloe had been prancing around between the both of them, giddy with delight and she couldn’t help but keep her mouth agape all while peering down at the little girl who was laughing at her expression. “Did you know Mommy was doing this?” She asked the little girl before she got a resounded yes that rang through the lounge. Allison didn’t know what else to say besides opening up her arms to Liv and embracing her. “Liv, it’s only one baby, Sanem did tell you that right?” She asked as a laugh escaped her lips.
She always went a little overboard, and Chloe had been more than glad to help her out. She watched Chloe and Allison interact with a small smile, before laughing softly. “Not just stuff for bub, there’s stuff for Sanem during the whole lead up and after and a self care package for both of you,” she explained. In all the excitement of a new baby, people often forgot the moms and the moms care, even the moms themselves. She knew that she had been the same when she was expecting Chloe, even now, constantly putting her daughter above her own needs. She hugged Allison with a grin, “You both need to make sure you’re taking care of yourselves, bub needs her mama’s at 100%, trust me. And, well I love spoiling my friends.”
As the flush appeared on her cheek it wasn’t hard to guess what the cause was, not with the topic of conversation they had just been sharing and whilst Greyson was usually the picture perfect gentleman he didn’t want her to think that he didn’t think the same. God alone knew what some of the thoughts were that passed his mind when it came to Olivia, he just didn’t want to rush her - he couldn’t see a problem with giving her a little reassurance, he was a dude after all. Letting his lips sink to her own Greyson smirked. “I’ll here more about the source of that blush later.” The male promised, his hand sinking lower than it’s position on her hip for just a second before he was back to his usual respectable self and next to her side so that he could help with whatever they were about to make. “Holly used to go nuts at how much candy I would want to store and would always try to make sure there was more fruit around or me so I’d go for that firs but I’d always hide the good stuff, especially for the holidays.” It was fun, seeing how much would get busted. “You know i was wondering actually, if you and Chloe wanted to spend Christmas with me at the ranch, me and the boys normally have this big meal I think you’d make a great addition.”
I know I try and get fruit in, ‘specially for Chloe but...I’m the worst.” she smiled a little as she listened to him talk about Holly, turning briefly to gaze at him.
Shifting in her seat slightly, Hope offered Liv a smile and braced her hands around the offered peppermint mocha, still warm enough with its chocolatey and peppermint aroma taking hold. “Joke or not, I unfortunately have heard it plenty of times in my line of work, though mainly as threats.” Hope began before she took a sip of the drink. It was heavenly of course and probably the most superior drink for the winter season. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Liv, I’m Hope.” She continued.
“That usually means you’re probably doing a good job, or emasculating a man. Least in my experience it is.” she smiled a little, though thankfully she didn’t have that much experience. Just in the competitive world of ballet dancing that wasn’t her world anymore, though given Chloe’s current obsession with dancing it soon would be her life again. “Nice to meet you as well, so what do you do for work? With the poison threat I’m thinking, international spy? Female James Bond?”
“Excuse me! Yeah–” Landon waved the person down with a smile on his face. “Yeah, I appreciate you coming but please don’t touch my sisters’ stomach, okay?” he gave a less-than-friendly pat on the persons shoulder before watching them walk away. The party was beautiful, but the way people continued to go up and just touch Sanem’s stomach was maddening. He swore he’d be on his best behavior, and it helped that Oliver remained in his line of sight. “This is some shindig, eh?” Landon remarked to the person next to him. “I…I appreciate you coming out here for my sister and sister-in-law. Means a lot, actually.”
She had managed to avoid Landon since their coffee incident a couple of months prior, though she was surprised to see him at Sanem’s baby shower. The way he defended the mother to be though was heart warming, she had honestly hated it when she’d been in that situation, the way that people just felt that they had the right to touch you because you were pregnant. “It’s pretty impressive.” she replied, smiling a little. “Are you Sanem’s brother or Allison’s?”
Theo needed coffee. She needed it. Having done the night shift and knowing that she was doing a day shift of parenting? God she wanted to cry, how did anyone do this all of the time? Never in all of her years had she ever had to put herself anyone over her own needs like she had now. She was selfish and she had always known that which is why she had decided not being a mother was best for her. Now here she was. At the sound of a voice she pushed herself from her thoughts and drew her gaze back to the other. “I…yes please, I don’t think I can wait another second to get caffeine in me.”
"Gotta love days like that, right?” she quipped, knowing that there were days she could barely keep her eyes open between work and home life keeping her occupied. She knew that she had a lot of work ahead of her, with making Chloe’s Christmas recital costume and being the makeup artist for the day too. It was something that she knew would make Chloe’s day, which is why she did it, but equally thankful for coffee for getting her through it. “Long day?”
Being that this day centered on herself, Allison, and their daughter of course, Sanem expected the amount of mingling and congratulations that would take place. Though found she needed a short break in between it all, only for that to be interrupted by someone steering her into a detailed conversation about birth and unsolicited advice. While the dancer was sure this woman meant well, this wasn’t exactly not something she really wanted or needed to hear at the moment. Mocha hues dart around before catching a familiar face not far away, could they tell her look was pleading ?
Regardless. ❝ I uh, I’m sorry to cut you off but, I believe my presence is requested over there, if you’ll excuse me. ❞ Not too farfetched lie then, flashing a curt smile before heading over to the other, letting out a long exhale. ❝ One more second and she might’ve almost convinced me to keep this baby in for the foreseeable future. ❞ Chuckling through a light huff. ❝ Anyway, thank you for being my surprise savior, and being here too. Have I already told you that today — pregnancy brain. ❞
She was just about to intervene, offering a wave to Sanem when she came over, a small smirk on her lips as she listened to the woman and nodded sympathetically, nodding to a small alcove where Sanem could get a breather, even for just a moment. “Do you have a room you can sneak off to for a break?” she asked. “The way that people think they’re experts because they’ve pushed one out themselves.” she scoffed. She had hated her baby shower, it was summer and she was fed up with the heat, and she had filed for divorce just a few days prior.
She waved off the thanks, and smiled gently. “If you did, I don’t remember. I wish I could say the same, mines just scattered single mom brain.” she replied, often being like this at this time of the year, trying to get Christmas things ready and make sure that Chloe got to do all the things her classmates did. She didn’t want Chloe to miss out on anything. “Now, can I get you anything? Drink? Food? That woman’s head on a platter? I’ll do it.”
The offer was intriguing. Kai cocked his head to the side– the drink was a fair size, and from the name alone it seemed like there would be plenty of caffeine involved. “Free?” he repeated, a half smile on his face. Reaching out, Kai grabbed the cup and took a hearty sip, almost spitting it out due to the temperature. “That’s dark,” he swiped at his lip, “but it tastes like Christmas!” Kai drank some more, tossing a thumbs up in her direction. “Typically, I’m a butterscotch type guy, but this shit? This shit sort of rules. Drinking two sounds like a great idea,” he said.
She couldn’t help but chuckle a little, “It’s great right?” she replied with a laugh, sitting down and taking a shop of her own. “I would, normally but I have a long afternoon of work ahead, and I don’t think someone wanting a hair cut would appreciate a hairdresser with the sugar highs, and shaky hands. I mean, I’m all for modern asymmetrical looks but it’s not what I get requested these days.”
In Joel’s poor attempt to eradicate himself of his current vice, he itched for a replacement. He had never been much of a coffee drinker, filling his glass with bourbon as opposed to caffeine, but the latter hadn’t dismantled his career; a harsh shove down a slippery slope. “Shit, if that’s a bad idea, then what the fuck would you call my average Saturday night?” He retorts, stuffing his phone into his back pocket. He’d been caught between an apology text. A half-hearted ‘sorry’ for burning his bridges with another. “Drink ‘em both. Promise I won’t tell another soul.” A pause filtered through, his eyes narrowing to determine the scribbled text on the cup. “Offal- Who the shittin’ hell names their kid after decomposing flesh?”
She smirked a little at his response, given her own history and the kind of lifestyle she’d led before becoming a mom she doubt she’d be surprised by his idea of a Saturday night, her own wild weekends (and weekdays) with Darren a drug and drink fogged memory. “You’d be surprised,” she admitted, her own coping methods that she had clung to after her accident had led her down a dark path. She tilted her head a little, “You sure? I promise no strings,” she turned her attention to the cup, “Yeah they have a problem with Olivia apparently, I’ve been here almost a year and they’ve never gotten it right. I’m Offal now, I guess.”
