Emergency Medical Commissions
Buckle up boyos, it's that time again. Link's got medical bills. OTL

It's a condition that requires constant medication and a minimum of annual monitoring. I do not currently have health insurance due to medicaid cuts, and as such, have to pay for all care on my own until I can solve that issue (which is in progress). I ran out of my needed medication (synthroid) yesterday, and in order to refill it, my endocrinologist said I need to make an appointment. To have the appointment, I also have to have related testing done ahead of time.
Here's the kicker: they gave me a week. My appointment is next Thursday (8/21) and I need to have as much of the money as I can by that time if I want to be seen/taken care of.
My best estimate of what I'll need is about $550 for both the testing and the appointment itself. I have someone kind enough to pay $150 of it, so the cost of the appointment itself, but I need to make up an additional $400 (maybe a little more, depending on what the tests actually cost, which I'll find out tomorrow).
8/21/25 edit: I had to up the goal due to needing a psychiatry appointment to get a letter for medicaid (which will hopefully help me get reinstated coverage). The new goal includes payment for lab tests, the psych appointment, and the related medication.
