Ok so FIRST OF ALL, don’t believe the ChatGPT hype.   I sat down at my computer like, “I’m in a weird mood & Valentine's Day feels like a giant heart-shaped exclamation point punctuating the phrase ‘late-stage capitalist hellscape’ … but, plot twist -- it’s also a welcome & much-needed excuse to inject a little pleasure into our lives. Much like rain-aa-aa-in on your wedding day, a little too ironic . . . Hey, I wonder if ChatGPT could write a funny but way-too-true cynical poem about this?” (<---another layer of ironic. The systemic f*ckery goes DEEP!) 2 HRS LATER I strung together bits and pieces of the 863 super cheesy, way too rhymey & upbeat results it generated + used the weird stuff it gave me as inspiration for filling in the many gaps. Final thought on AI: ChatGPT is a great brainstorming partner that can help inspire your own creativity but it’s not taking writers jobs any time soon. Low value/quality content mill stuff or super basic cookie-cutter copywriting, sure -- but writing with any substance or creativity behind it? Not a chance (not yet anyway, check back in a decade after the singularity 😬😂) Also, I’m no poetry writer. I hate it almost as much as I have Valentine’s Day. But Chat GPT helped me get past that obstacle so I guess that’s a win. Anyway, text in the pics reads: An "Everything is Awful but I'm Still Kinky" Valentine's Day Poem Roses are wilting, violets are bland, Valentine's Day is a capitalist sham.
