Indescribably beautiful work by @photoandkioto at the International Museum of Surgical Science here in Chicago. I said this to Kioto this morning, but I want to reiterate - the sensitivity with which she tends to the seam between the material history of photographic processes and the [oftentimes problematic] history of its relationship to medical science is so profound. Human breath instead becomes a language for measurement, floor tiles begin to reveal the fossils embedded within their stone, and blueprints vibrate with pressure of physical contact through doubling (historical and material).
