Having a cuddle puddle with my pokemon while I workout the details for the racing team try outs. What is the best day for everyone who is already on the team as I would like for you all to be there.
So as exciting as spending the last day before classes at the adoption drive was -- btdubs, thank you so much, Miss Carole! -- it’s even more exciting to finally officially be a KIP student for real. People keep acting like all my classes should be really tough, but the hardest part of this week has actually been finding time to keep all six of my Pokemon out of trouble. My new Goomy even got some slime on my homework yesterday, but it wasn’t something I had to hand in, and now I know to keep him far, far away from the books from now on! I hope everyone else is having as radtastic of a first week as me.
I think I’m turning into an old man. Watching a bunch of teenagers getting their first pokemon made me oddly sentimental. I thought if anything it’d just be for the day, but I ran into one of the kids at the mart earlier and he couldn’t stop talking about the adoption drive and how thankful he was for everything and everyone involved. Apparently him and his Elekid are the perfect match.
Anyone watch Fear The Walking Dead?I thought it was a great show but some parts made no sense in any way. Still, I think I’m going to like it. The lack of zombies and the pace was one I didn’t mind.
This is probably the perfect day! It really is! They are all so AMAZING! Like... We probably WON’T get to even touch pokemon this rare again for a long time! This experience is.... intense!

[Kurt laughed as he wiped water off his face, in the process of grooming a tiny Igglybuff that was all too eager to flick water all over him, delighting in the man’s giggles. He was stationed in the grooming center, getting the baby Pokemon picture perfect for their big day. It wasn’t the most glamorous job, especially since some of the Pokemon were still dirty and matted from being in captivity like they had been, but if anyone knew how to bring a Pokemon’s inner beauty to the outside, it was Kurt.]
Stop fussing, you!
[He chuckles, wrapping the little pink Pokemon in a towel, starting to dry it’s short, pink fur so he could send it on it’s way.]
To anyone that volunteered at the adoption drive today, we’re throwing a party on the beach afterwards. Nothing too wild - just a few of us hanging out together. Carole just set up a firepit and I’ve gone to get stuff for s’mores and pick up the pizza and other goodies I baked earlier. There may or not be wine and beer there too.
