(2/2) It's nice to read meta which analyse the show in retrospect. Inevitably I read yours with shipper goggles on (yet another day in the life of me), but thanks to you (and everyone who gave input), I've a new appreciation of the writing of the show. What an epic romance! - in every sense of the term!

I looked at it with shipper goggles too. :D It’s a little hard not to once you see that they could have done ANYTHING with Polis, and they chose to put the Clarke, aka the “princess”, at the top of a skinny Rapunzel-style tower and then send Bellamy up to rescue her. twice. THAT IS A THING THAT THE SHOW DID TWICE. Like, once would have been fine? You could have just done it in 303 and it’d be a nice subversion of the fairy tale trope. The “hero” goes to save her but she doesn’t want to be saved, and he’s out of his depth, and it’s like, I dunno, some kind of commentary on classic patriarchal ideas being overturned. But then the show had to go and re-do it all over again, but this time play the trope straight, and make it super romantic and dramatic. Like… okay show. Chill. We get that you want to use your main characters to tease at the epic stuff. Niiiiiiiiice.
Maybe it’s just artistic writing flair because JR has a boner for genre homages. Maybe it means the OTP is real. We can’t know…

Then just do your Top 3. You don’t need to have a ton of ships. I happen to be a big time lover of ships. I only did my current otp list, if I did my legacy list it would be alot harder. But not everyone ships a ton and that’s fine.

I think I know that post. OP obviously didn't watch the show and if I called her a child for her behaviour I would be insulting children so, I'll just sit comfortably in this corner of fandom with canon.

Whoops! There was a couple things I think I meant to put into drafts to post later, cause that post didn’t have any tags which I never do.
Okay, I would be Enlt Rar or Enlt Ral (depending on if you use my birth name or my internet alias). But the even the “ky’ in Kylo came from the middle of ‘skywalker’ and I like a bit of imagination too. So variations of my “force” name could be Ristiwa Qar or Tiwa Ral either of which I like better. And are actually pronounceable. (I took the ‘Q’ from Qui-gon).
