☆*:.｡.Kirby and The Crystal Shards.｡.:*☆
This game came out in 2004 for the Nintendo 64, one of my favorite consoles ( ´ ω ` )ノﾞ It's a side scrolling classic Kirby style type of game where you go to different worlds, finishing levels, gathering friends new and old to defeat the big bad of the game - O2. While I would usually post a photo of the antagonist and explain more on the story, I would rather you experience the full thing for yourself if you haven't played the game yet! ♡
This game was incredible for a smaller me many years ago. I love the animated scenes, the music, the different planets and levels, and of course the characters! There's a pic of one of the levels that's all Autumn ~ (´,,•ω•,,) The soundtrack is especially nostalgic to listen to, even now - ☆ Here's the Pop Star theme song ☆
While Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby and The Forgotten Land hold a special place in my heart, Kirby and The Crystal Shards has always held the top Kirby game to me in my heart. Growing up, this was my first ever Kirby game and I always remembered how I would re-play it over and over. So much so, that I could remember which powers were needed to open up certain secrets in the maps like the back of my hand! (o^ ^o)
One of my favorite things about this game as well was the mini games that you could play either with bots or any friends locally. It also has a villain gallery, a juke box to listen to the songs from each level and boss, an art gallery and more. I love looking at the art gallery because you get to see such lovely designs of the characters and the mini games were especially fun to just pass the time with. ( ◡‿◡ *)
I will always recommend this game to anyone who likes the usual Kirby side scrolling formula, but are looking for something a little more nostalgic to enjoy. It's as cute as Kirby can be and it's always a fun time in my book ヽ(o＾▽＾o)ノ
