Reveals that would actually be really fucking funny part 2:
Hey you guys know how one of the few great things John did was there's not even a concept of queerness or labels anymore because with orientations there's no assumed norm to deviate from and with gender people will still take a guess but will fully acknowledge it's an assumption, consider "they" a valid pronoun to assume, and have zero trouble switching if told otherwise? Specifically in part because he's queer as hell himself?
You know how it's a fairly common read that Magnus and Abigail, our only really established Official Relationship we get to spend meaningful time with (not counting anything John's involved in), are both pretty interested in Ortus?
You know how Pal made a crusade of his whole life over his desire to marry Dulcie, but whatever flavor you want to read the dynamics Camilla is exactly as important to both of them as each other?
Yeah so, the Harrow "love triangle" (love... whatever that shape is)...
Imagine if open relationships and situationships and relationship anarchy are all considered entirely fucking normal and maybe even a little more common than monogamy in most of the Houses at this point. This would be so absolutely in line with John's philosophies and you know it lmao. In line with the endless breadth and depth of Alecto's love, too.
Bonus that's still funny but also sad:
Imagine if Gideon's dramatic ass is like "Harrow loves the ice lolly bimbo so she could never love me" and Ianthe is like "that's... interesting to know about her preferences but you know that's generally not how it works right" and John is like "yeah no kiddo you really should ask her before you assume that" and basically anyone keeps being like "why are you assuming that??" and the whole time it's actually because Gideon simply cannot imagine anyone wanting her if there's any other option.
Meanwhile Ianthe is like. Well obviously I don't care if Harry also has a thing for Gonad, it might even be a cute little diversion, but she and I are the ones who will be immortal toge—... She's immortal too? ... Sigh. Well, I suppose I do also find her entertaining at times... Yes, this can work. As long as I can still have her I'll obviously be her best partner so why should I be threatened by others?
And then it turns out "it should be illegal for your exes to talk to each other" because Ianthe has hyped Kiriona up like "no no, you see, if we present ourselves as a package deal we'll easily be better than the fridge meat" and they've made a million wedding plans and like three centuries of fantasies they're gonna live out with Harrow and Harrow is like. ... Excuse me? Do I get a say in ANY of this. What the hell.
Meanwhile Alecto is watching them like one might watch an ant farm and truly not giving a single fuck.
