Day Four: Kiriyami! @protobnhaweek

Prompt: 25th - Support Your Ships | Red String of Fate

Only Kirshima can see the string, but he's absolutely smitten! Middle school Kiriyami. Perhaps Kirishima fell in love at first sight, and Yamikumo was none the wiser to Kirishima's presence? Just passing each other on the street by chance, having gone to completely different middle schools.

Prototype Kirishima has the same Quirk reveal backstory, but the scar caused by it is much larger and on his left eye. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at drawing scars, so it's very hard to see in my art. A majority of the scar is also covered by his hair in this art. Kirishima's middle school design was largely the same, with flattened black hair, though it looked just a bit less spikey.

⭐LARA + EIJIRO⭐

Who are they?: Lara Kurayami and Eijiro Kirishima.

BROTP NAME: Kiriyami.

How long have they known each other?: Since they were kids.

How did they first meet?: They met at a park, when Kirishima spotted Lara being chased around by a group of kids. (More info bellow)

Relatives or friends?: Friends, they’re not related.

Who is more extroverted? Who is more introverted?: Kirishima is definitely the extroverted one. Lara isn’t fully an introvert but she’s not AS open to people as Kirishima is.

Who is better at cheering the other up?: They both know each other well enough to be able to cheer each other up without an issue. They usually bring each other snacks and chat for hours until eventually they’re both laughing and have forgotten what was wrong in the first place.

Who is more likely to give the other relationship advice?: That’s usually Kirishima, since he’s been shipping Bakugou and Lara since they met Bakugou, basically.

Who tells the other they would do anything for them? Which one never says it, but means it just as fiercely?: Both of them say it and they know they truly mean it.

Who always remembers birthdays and other important dates, and reminds the other?: Lara does. She has a better memory for these things.

Who is more protective?: Both of them are extremely protective of each other. Touch one and the other will wreck you.

Who makes friendship bracelets?: They don’t do it now, but they probably did when they were younger.

Who wins when they play video games? Who insists that they’re going to beat them eventually?: Even though she isn’t competitive, Lara’s usually really good at video games and wins often, so it’s Kirishima they one to promise to beat her someday.

Who is more likely to break a promise?: None of them. They would never.

Who is more willing to cry in front of the other?: They’re both willing, although they don’t really cry much.

Do they hug or show any physical affection?: For sure, especially Kirishima, he hugs Lara quite often (and she returns those hugs of course). Lara's physical affection is shown more as her leaning on his shoulder, patting his back or high-fiving him, those kinds of things.

Who is more likely to be the caretaker when the other is sick?: Both of them would take care of the other if they’re sick, even if they risk getting sick themselves.

What would they do if they saw the other being bothered by someone?: Act, immediately. They would probably approach and try to get the other way from there peacefully. However, if the situation is tenser, things might get a little more serious.

Do they have nicknames for each other?: They don’t really use nicknames per se. One thing to point out would be that they call each other by their surnames while at school (especially Lara, since everyone else seems to do that), but they call each other by name when they’re alone. Lara might also call Kirishima “Ei” instead of his full name.

Relationship:

Kirishima and Lara are not only friends, but they consider each other family. They're like brother and sister, but without any sort of blood relation between them. They've been together for almost their whole lives and couldn't imagine it any other way anymore. They're a team, they work perfectly in sync and know exactly what to do to help the other out if needed, and wouldn't doubt to risk their lives for the other, because, to tell the truth, there's not one without the other. The other UA students consider them a one package deal, because they spend most of their time together.

How they met and first impressions:

They met back when they were kids. They were at a park and Lara was being chased down by a group of kids who wanted to take something from her, Kirishima saw it and tried to help her, but was surprised when he watched as Lara used her quirk to drive the other kids away from her, scaring them. When he approached her to check on her, he discovered she was hiding a small kitten inside of her coat, which the other kids wanted to mess around with. (Fun fact: She keeps the kitten. She has two of them, which are at her mother’s house.)

Kirishima told her how impressive her quirk was, and being the nice boy that he is, offered his friendship to her. Lara was taken back by his kindness and the fact that he had been the only one to not get scared by her dark quirk, so she accepts his offer.

What do they bring to the relationship:

Kirishima is an important part in Lara's personal growth and who she already is when she joins UA. When she was a child she used to feel insecure about her quirk, because it seemed scary to some people, and she didn't want them to be scared of her. Once Kirishima and her become friends, Lara slowly comes out of her protective shell, opening up more and accepting her figurative and literal darkness. Kirishima also takes part in making Lara someone happier and who has more fun, since he's usually the one to drag her into things (Eventually, it becomes part of who she is, but there is no doubt he helped with it).

Lara becomes Kirishima's full support rather quick. His personality and kind nature bring up her most supportive and loyal side, turning into the one person he can count on at any moment, no matter what. Not to mention she's also a huge influence on him as well in their school days, when Kirishima doesn't feel brave enough to be a hero, and encouraging him to join UA with her, completely certain he can make it. (Another fun fact: Lara helps dyeing Kirishima's hair red.)
