How long have they known each other?: Since birth, lmao.
Relatives or friends?: They’re siblings. Twin brothers, actually.
Who is more extroverted? Who is more introverted?: They’re both quite the extroverts, they would talk to anybody.
Who is better at cheering the other up?: They both know the way to cheer the other up since they know each other perfectly.
Who is more likely to give the other relationship advice?: Eizen would be. It wouldn’t be good advice at all, but he’d try to tell Kai how to approach Alice. Kai could also give some advice but he knows Eizen would end up doing whatever he wants.
Who tells the other they would do anything for them? Which one never says it, but means it just as fiercely?: They don’t really say it, but they both know it. They’re twins, that’s an unbreakable bond.
Who always remembers birthdays and other important dates, and reminds the other?: Kai does, Eizen doesn’t really care enough to remember.
Who is more protective?: Both of them could be very protective of each other if they need to.
Who wins when they play video games? Who insists that they’re going to beat them eventually?: Both of them win and lose, and they do get very competitive, but it’s all fun and games, literally.
Who is more likely to break a promise?: Eizen is. Kai would never.
Who is more willing to cry in front of the other?: In any case, it would be Kai, although he doesn’t really cry much. Eizen prefers not to show those kinds of emotions.
Do they hug or show any physical affection?: Maybe a high-five or a fist-bump every once in a while. Sometimes a hug too if the occasion calls for it, but Eizen isn’t really a hugger (Kai is though).
Who is more likely to be the caretaker when the other is sick?: Both of them could take care of the other, but generally speaking Eizen would know someone else would be more than willing to help his brother, and he wouldn’t really want anyone to take care of him.
What would they do if they saw the other being bothered by someone?: Join in the conversation and probably make the other person uncomfortable enough for them to leave. Kai would joke around, but Eizen could get meaner.
Do they have nicknames for each other?: Not really, no.
Relationship:
Since they were little, Kai and Eizen had competed with each other to see which of them was better, so one day they could become heroes. Their shared dream was to enter a great academy together, didn’t matter which one it was. But those dreams started fading as they grew older, and life taught them what reality actually was at an early age.
Although that dream never completely disappeared for them, each now look at it very differently.
The cause of this change was the death of their mother, and that their father was left with half his body paralyzed. He could never walk again, and much less be a hero like he had been all along. Those misfortunes changed the twins and their close relationship, especially Eizen, who started rethinking his life.
These two have the "good brother VS bad brother" dynamic. Eizen is not necessarily evil, but he's definitely the meaner of the two, while Kai is all kindness and fun. They love each other, but things have gotten a bit tenser between them as time went by.
What do they bring to the relationship:
As the one defined as "the good brother", Kai acts as moral compass for his brother and him, always trying to find the best way to approach a situation, and keep a positive mindset while doing so. He could be described as the more mature of the two as well, willing to speak up about his problems and feelings and having a very strong will to make things work. He is aware Eizen questions the choices he has taken in life, and is willing to do anything in his power to stop him from losing his way.
Eizen on the other hand, as "the bad brother", brings a new perspective into the twins' lives. He's the first one to acknowledge that perhaps their dream of becoming heroes together was nothing more than that, a dream. He challenges his brother constantly and fights to stay above him as strongest of the two, but deep down he cares for him and wishes things could be different for them.
How long have they known each other?: Since they were 10-11 years more or less.
How did they first meet?: Cheshire was adopted (not legally) by Katia’s father, Hayashi.
Relatives or friends?: Adoptive siblings, but not blood related. They’re also best friends.
Who is more extroverted? Who is more introverted?: They’re both extroverts.
Who is better at cheering the other up?: Katia, not only because she’s really good at it in general, but also because she can use her quirk to alter how Cheshire feels. She doesn’t usually do it, but she could. Cheshire is also fairly good at cheering her up.
Who is more likely to give the other relationship advice?: Katia is, especially when it comes to Cheshire dating Lexian.
Who tells the other they would do anything for them? Which one never says it, but means it just as fiercely?: They don’t really say it like that, but they both know it.
Who always remembers birthdays and other important dates, and reminds the other?: Katia for sure. Cheshire always forgets.
Who is more protective?: Cheshire is. Do not touch Katia or you’ll face his claws.
Who makes friendship bracelets?: Katia again, she loves that kind of stuff, finds it very cute. Cheshire would reluctantly wear the bracelet but then never ever take it off.
Who wins when they play video games? Who insists that they’re going to beat them eventually?: Cheshire always wins because Katia isn’t used to playing video games, she prefers other activities. However, she does tell him she’ll beat him someday.
Who is more likely to break a promise?: In any case, it would be Cheshire, although not on purpose.
Who is more willing to cry in front of the other?: They don’t really cry much, but it would be Katia in any case, she doesn’t mind showing her emotions.
Do they hug or show any physical affection?: They do, they’re both huggers.
Who is more likely to be the caretaker when the other is sick?: Most likely Katia, she has more of a motherly nature.
What would they do if they saw the other being bothered by someone?: Act and make the person go away. Katia would be very nice about it and somehow trick the person without them even knowing they’re being tricked, while Cheshire could get a bit more cheeky and mess with them directly.
Do they have nicknames for each other?: Ches calls Katia “blondie”, sometimes in a condescending manner. However, she calls him "cat boy" instead of Cheshire for the same reason.
Since they’re very close, Katia also calls Cheshire by his actual name, Killian.
Relationship:
Katia and Cheshire got along since the very first moment they met each other. Katia has always been very nice and open with everyone so it wasn’t difficult for Ches to start trusting her and become really close. Growing up together, they were a team, following the other around to whatever they were doing.
When they got older, both of them started working at Hayashi’s (Katia’s dad) bounty hunter business as a way to earn some money for themselves.
Katia always tries to pick the least suspicious gigs for herself, being as safe as she can possibly be while still doing something that is technically illegal. Cheshire, however, takes the more questionable jobs, not really caring what he has to do as long as he gets paid for it. Katia doesn't really approve of this, but Cheshire doesn't listen to her.
How they met and first impressions:
Cheshire was left on his own when he was around 10-11 years old. He never met his father, and he lived with his mom, who one day disappeared without a single trace.
He was adopted (not legally) by Hayashi, a single father with a 9-10 year old daughter, Katia. Hayashi’s wife had died of an illness when Katia was very little.
Cheshire was greatly welcome into the family as one of their own, never feeling like he didn’t belong, and being supported in his desire to investigate whatever happened to his mother, wanting to find her someday.
Katia had always wanted a sibling, so she was really happy to receive Cheshire into her house, and found him very interesting, especially because of his feline-like appearance. Cheshire was simply glad he had a place to stay where he could be comfortable, and found Katia very adorable.
What do they bring to the relationship:
Katia could be described as the "mom friend". She's very nurturing and has a very motherly way to treat Cheshire at times, almost acting like the older sibling even thought she's one year younger than Cheshire. She acts as the voice of reason for him and helps him figure things out when he's having issues doing it on his own.
Cheshire is the fun, rebel sibling. He gets them both in trouble numerous of times, trouble Katia has to get them out of most times, especially when it comes to her father. He's very protective of her and would do anything in his power to get her whatever she needs without even having to ask.
How long have they known each other?: Not that long. Lara met Beat when she was already in UA.
How did they first meet?: They were both kidnapped and brought to their villain father, Tsuyoshi Kurayami.
Relatives or friends?: They’re half-siblings. They share the same father.
Who is more extroverted? Who is more introverted?: Lara would be the more extroverted of the two, and she isn’t even that extroverted to begin with. Beat doesn’t like people, at all.
Who is better at cheering the other up?: They’re both terrible tbh. Lara would definitely try her best, but Beat’s too difficult to cheer up. As for Beat, I’m not sure he would even try, he would leave Lara alone until she feels better because he would feel uncomfortable trying to cheer her up.
Who is more likely to give the other relationship advice?: Again, Lara would TRY if it’s needed. Beat does not give a shit who Lara hangs out with.
Who tells the other they would do anything for them? Which one never says it, but means it just as fiercely?: None of them really say it, but when their relationship gets better they both understand they can count on each other.
Who always remembers birthdays and other important dates, and reminds the other?: Lara does. Beat does not care (A recurring theme here, huh)
Who wins when they play video games? Who insists that they’re going to beat them eventually?: Both of them can win while playing, and Beat gets very competitive and pissed off if he loses.
Who is more protective?: They don’t really act protective of each other at first, but later on Beat gets a bit protective of Lara.
Who is more likely to break a promise?: Beat would be. Not intentionally, but it could happen.
Who is more willing to cry in front of the other?: In any case, it would be Lara. Beat represses all his emotions and would rather die than cry in front of anyone, lmao.
Do they hug or show any physical affection?: Not at first, it’s uncomfortable for them. But later on when their relationship evolves Lara starts being a bit more affectionate towards Beat, and he sort of just lets it happen.
Who is more likely to be the caretaker when the other is sick?: They both have their own separate lives so probably neither. Beat knows Lara has other people who would take care of her, and he doesn’t really want anyone bothering him, especially if he isn’t feeling his best.
What would they do if they saw the other being bothered by someone?: Lara would try a more peaceful approach to try and get Beat out of the situation, while Beat would probably be more aggressive about it, likely scaring the person off.
Do they have nicknames for each other?: Not really, no. Just Lara and Beat. Not even “brother” or “sister” to be honest, that’s still hard for them.
Relationship:
Beat and Lara did not have it easy AT ALL.
Their father had been having a double life, having a relationship with both Anne Cranel (Beat's mother) and Aimi Kurayami (Lara's mother), and managing to conceive his first child with Anne, bringing Beat into the world.
However, Tsuyoshi seemed to prefer Aimi best, marrying her, and conceiving Lara a year later. Somehow, Tsuyoshi knew his daughter had inherited his quirk, and started obsessing over her, wanting to train her and make her become just like him. This obsession grew so large he lost any interest he ever had for Anne or Beat, deciding to get rid of them so they could not interfere with his now preferred family and his plans.
Tsuyoshi managed to kill Anne, but she had been able to hid Beat away from him, saving him. The man assumed the child wouldn't survive on his own, but he was found by the police and taken into a new family.
This caused Beat to grow resentful of what happened to his mother, investigating on his own as he grew older, and finding every little piece of information he could about his father, finding out about Lara and her mother in the process. Doing so, he realized his mother's murder happened some time after Lara's birth, causing Beat to believe she was the reason his father didn't want him or his mother anymore. Not that he wanted him to want him anymore, he hated him, he wanted to see him dead, and had no intention of approaching Lara at all.
After the two half-siblings meet, Lara asks Cheshire to keep an eye on Beat for her, since he doesn't want anything to do with her, and she knows it'd be easier for Cheshire to watch over him without even being noticed, since that was part of his job.
With lots of time and patience, the siblings start counting on each other more often, until eventually, Beat acknowledges Lara as the only family he has left, and being willing to try and better their bond, even if it's hard.
How they met and first impressions:
The two of them were kidnapped by Cheshire, who had been hired by their father, Tsuyoshi Kurayami, an old hero turned villain, who now wanted to convince their children to join his side.
They were brought to an old building where they both found out the father they thought had died of his wounds after a very serious fight years ago, was actually alive and kicking.
Unfortunately for Lara, that was not the only surprise she got that day, since she was not aware of who Beat was until her father told her. Beat on the other hand was aware of Lara's existence, since she had been the "official" daughter of Tsuyoshi, but had no interest in getting to know her.
Beat blamed both his father and Lara for his mother's death, wanting to kill Tsuyoshi and willing to fight Lara if she for some reason decided to interfiere. She tries to talk to him, letting him know she didn't know he even existed, but Beat isn't willing to listen.
Lara takes some time to actually process she has a half-brother. She feels terrible for him and all he had to endure and wants to help him in any way she can, but doesn't know how.
What do they bring to the relationship:
For Lara, Beat brings a challenge. He’s someone she had not expected to ever meet at all, and the reasons that bonded them together only made things harder for them to interact. But her soft nature wouldn’t let her rest easy knowing she had a half-brother out there who she wasn’t even taking account for. She tries her very best to get closer to him, to show him she's not like their father, and proving she's someone Beat could count with if he ever needed her.
As for Beat, he gets a sister. An actual, real sense of family. Even if he had been adopted when he was just a baby, he never felt like he belonged anywhere, and never really bonded with the family who took care of him, because he simply refused to do so.
After meeting Lara, and with all her attempts to approach him, he starts feeling like he has someone to go to, even if he wouldn't openly admit it.
