Force Magic in Dragon Age II

Force mages are a fearsome sight on the battlefield, bending the laws of nature to crush, toss, and debilitate their foes. Kirkwall's Circle houses a higher-than-usual percentage of mages who excel at this specialization, and their combined research has refined the school considerably.

I think Kirkwall's Circle having a huge amount of force mages is fascinating, and the fact that Hawke can specialize in it as well.

As I continue to fail writing Joan fluff, here's the awful realization I had that she was in Kirkwall and seven years old when the Viscount Perrin BS was going on (in one-shot form):

"Mages had to stay in their rooms. Joan was glad seven wasn’t old enough to have her own room; it was scary when the other apprentices weren’t around.

That didn’t mean the noises outside weren’t still scary though.
