TPOT 19 feels like a group of object show writers who really want to write something other than Total Drama Island contests (or at the very least, who are very willing to bend the format).
II S4E1 feels like a group of object show writers who are absolutely terrified of writing anything OTHER than Total Drama Island contests and desperately feel the need to justify that to both themselves and their audience.

I did go to see TPOT 20 in theaters!
It was genuinely kind of surreal to see the BFDI cast in a theater setting lol, the entire thing felt kind of surreal honestly.
The actual episode was good! I'm glad they're finally open to like... actually explaining the shit going on in the BFDI world lol. I think it was maybe a little too algebralien focused, honestly? An object doesn't show up until like halfway through the episode and its from a BFB flashback. (I don't hate the algebraliens or anything lol, I would just like to see objects in my object show)
One backstory was nice! Its kind of interesting that Four is like, arguably equally as flawed as One from what we've seen. His ass loves putting people in seclusion chambers forever and never seems to figure out why this is a problem. This also definitely furthers my mild headcanon that the algebraliens don't really view the objects as like, people with thoughts and feelings.
I don't think I plan on going to any other theater showing they do unless I have friends who also attend one? It was a little lame to not be able to talk about it until the next day.
