I'm annoyed as hell with all the radfems screeching that no one took the Neil Gaiman accusations seriously until now when that's absolutely not true???? People were shocked and devastated months ago when the news dropped. A video essay called "when your hero is a monster" was released a month BEFORE the more "official" news came out and corroborated the stories.

He'd already gone silent on tumblr, his main social media, because people were turning against him.

Good god, the need to complain truly does always outweigh reality with these so-called "feminists" who really couldn't give less of a shit about the victims and their treatment.

To be perfectly clear, estrogen and progesterone are far from the only hormones involved in a period. FSH and LH are not found anywhere in trans women at any point, there are no tissues with receptors for these hormones in the abdomen, that's just not how it works. AND THATS FINE YOURE STILL WOMEN WHY DO YOU KEEP EQUATING WOMANHOOD WITH PERIODS

The thing about "anti transmed" types is that all their definitions of gender and what makes someone trans do absolutely apply to the concept of trans race (as in believing you're a different race on the inside, rather than the adopted-by-different-ethnicity-parents meaning).

"sex is an arbitrary construct that labels a set of physical characteristics as belonging to a social category!" So is race.

"if someone is happier living as the opposite sex, why does it matter the reasoning?" Would you say the same about someone dying their skin darker to live as a black person?

"gender is infinite and can be whatever you want it to, identity has no strict boxes! If you feel like a label fits, then that should be your identity!" You'd feel the same about someone finding a sense of belonging and identity in a different race?

If you don't acknowledge the reality that biological sex isn't actually "arbitrary", and you refuse to believe that gender dysphoria as a neurological condition is necessary for being trans, then you have no grounds to separate transgender and trans race.

It is genuinely exhausting to have people trying to validate trans women by telling them to accept severe abdominal pain as a "period" when a) no uterus, no period and b) even if you have a uterus, severe pain should NEVER be ignored or brushed off as normal.

SEE YOUR DOCTOR. IT IS NOT TRANSPHOBIC TO POINT OUT YOUR HEALTH ISSUES REQUIRE ATTENTION AND ARENT JUST A MAGICAL FAUX PERIOD.

I saw a post lamenting how people on tumblr "treat queer women in media" (in reference to ignoring them entirely) but I think their takeaway, i.e. that tumblr users are misogynists for caring about mlm ships and not wlw ones, is assuming too much.

It's not that tumblr users are only interested in men because they're misogynistic. It's that tumblr users are predominantly attracted to men. This is just factual, I'm not being facetious, this website may be the supposed "most queer place on the internet" but it's still 80% fujos.

What I'm trying to say is that when people on here talk about "queer rep" or "queerbaiting" or any other number of terms, they don't actually care about any of those things to begin with. It was never about finding gay media, it was about finding characters to fujo out over.

This all comes down to the fact that tumblr's predominantly female userbase is straight. Or bisexual. So they like boys and stories about boys kissing and fucking.

It was never about considering mlm more queer than wlw, the charade about "queer rep" was only ever there to mask the girlies' libido guiding their fandom interests.
