Newly wedded bliss never lasted did it? After all life had to come back in some time. Whether it was sending out ‘thank you’ cards for all the presents. Going back to work after the honeymoon. Finding out you were pregnant with twins which were the most powerful beings on Earth for the last five hundred generations aside from the parents who created them.. Oh! and a dead uncle who was back from the dead with a taste for undead vengeance and revenge against ones husband.. ah jsut a typical day in the sound. Annabelle wasn’t left alone since the night of the blessing on ancient ground. Darkness seemed to loom over the pristine witch and there was more evil within her now than there ever had been before. Which is why she and Aleksey were practicing blood-magic in their spare time just as she was teaching him the old ways of her pure magic. Herbs, roots, stones.. It was taking it’s toll on her though and so Annabelle resorted to what she always did whenever she was stressed; she baked. The little shop was overflowing with pastries and little things she created, today though she was making sandwiches and was planning to take them to Aleksey and his crew who were working on building a house just on the outskirts of town. That was the thing by day they were a normal couple with jobs and responsibilities. But by night? The powerful witch and warlock were preparing for war. A war that had a deadline around the infants growing inside of her, time was of the essence and they both knew it. “Aly can you start boxing these up for me?” Annabelle asked as she moved to grab a knife to begin slicing up some bread for the next batch of sandwiches. There was a small bump now beneath her apron, two little lives which depended on her and their father to maintain their safety. Annabelle felt a tickled against the back of her neck and it was cold and cruel. Spiritual in a sense and she gasped, miscalculating her movements and she sliced her hand open with the knife. “Ah! Damn it!” She hissed as she immediately moved to wrap a cloth around her palm and went over to the sink to rinse her fingers. It stung for a moment and Aly’s concern showed as she went to fetch the first-aid kit but Annabelle’s blue eyes narrowed at her hand as she saw that her skin was healing, far faster than it should have and within a moment the wound was nonexistent. That was new. Oh god.. “Aleks.” She whispered and immediately she needed to see her husband. Aly came back and was surprised, Annabelle laughed. “Quick healer, clearly it was only a paper cut.” She continued. “Can you bag those please and I’m not feeling my best so I’m just going to deliver these and then go home. The orders for today and tomorrow are done, in the back fridge, you can close up for me right?” She smiled and she knew Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Stephens were listening in, ah, the two old babysitters. Once everything was done she hung her apron up and smoothed a hand over her shirt, it was really Aleksey’s button down but she borrowed it. “Thanks Aly.” She took the bags for the men and went out to her SUV. Another shiver went through her and as she climbed into the car she felt her powers and immediately she started focusing her breathing. God she couldn’t lose control. Not now.. So as she began driving down the road she tried calling Aleks’ phone but figured he may not have any signal. So she drove out to the house she knew he was fixing but she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was watching her. Especially now that the babies were practicing magic from the womb and healing her. “Oh goddess help me.” She pleaded softly as she drove and she could see the house and Aleks’ truck. Pulling up she beeped her horn and waved but she wondered if Aleks could sense that her powers were expanding far quicker than they even predicted and it terrified her because the stronger her powers grew it seemed the stronger his brother’s presence became.
