yes absolutely you aren’t as annoying as the others

but if he’s like traveling with you for fatui business

then he’ll keep you close to him, he’ll wrap his arm around your waist 

but he won’t be all soft like he is when you two are alone together

now when you two are alone

you’re getting hugged

like 24/7 365 days a year 

he’ll play with your hair as you two lie down in his tent or in a hotel room

and if you want to get up to go to the restroom or something he’ll tug on your arm 

“y/n, don’t you want to cuddle with me?” and like the little shit he is

he gets his way

he’ll sleep with you in his arms and just massage your temple with his fingertips 

thinking how he’s so grateful for you and how did someone like you come to love someone like him

if you beg he might even let you wear his hat

and he gets red in the face when you do

though he won’t let you see that ofc 

he would be in the middle of yelling at some fatui underlings and then you’d come over and like sit on his lap 

and he’d just go on yelling at them except he would wrap his arms around you

the fatui members would be like “uhm sir isnt it a bit unprofessiona-” and they’re either a) fired or b) recently deceased 

he tends to go for option a when you’re around because he doesn’t want you to have to see that 

on lazy days in bed he would probably just lay with you sleeping on top of him

if it were a day when he has to go out he’d come back with a souvenir from his journeys or some flowers 

he might even ask you what your favorite is and try to get you some of those no matter how rare or expensive

on your birthday he would definitely spoil the heck out of you

as a harbinger, he’s pretty loaded 

anything that had ever caught your attention for more than 5 secs, bOOM bought 

surprise shawtyy

and overall he would just appreciate you being there and you loving him

hugs and handholding (but in private) 

not big on public pda but if you are then he’ll tolerate it

xiao 

xiao adores you 

like really he does

similar to scaramouche he won’t be big on public affection

but he’ll hold your hand or let you bury your face in his chest or neck

but like kissing?? maybe on the cheek while you guys are out

if you were sick or sleepy he might let you rest on him and just watch over you as you slept 

when he’s soft (which is almost always) he holds your hands tightly and just admires you

it makes you kinda flustered but its because he loves you!! youre so precious to him ! 

if you go on an adventure or stay out for too long he might miss you a lot

and hug you every 10 minutes when you get back 

he’s clingy because he’s been touch starved for his whole life

so he’ll play with ur hair, he’ll hold your hands, kiss your forehead, hold you to his chest just to hear your heartbeat 

and when you ask him why he does this so often

he goes, “because i’ve got to cherish you for as long as i can”

which is the sad truth

that he’s going to live forever and someday, you are going to die

and he can’t help but think about it

so for your sake he tries to hold on to you as tightly as he can

he’ll take you on all the dates you want

wanmin restaurant? ehhh theres people there which he doesnt like but sure

xiao would be soft for you almost every single day because you are the greatest thing that’s ever happened to him

and when you two are at wangshu inn (which is where you hang out most of the time) he just stares at you in awe

and if you’re the one initiating pda then he enjoys it too

if you cup his face with your hands he’ll just lean into it

when you kiss his forehead while you two are laying down 

the times when you brush your fingers through his hair

it feels so soothing and he just gets really relaxed

and yeah maybe you two aren’t lovey dovey all the time

but when you are its great and you both enjoy it

for your birthday he would take you wherever you want to go

maybe he’s not extremely rich like a harbinger

but he’d go out and look for a present that held a lot of meaning to you 

maybe a hybrid of both of your favorite flowers if such a thing exists 

either way he would cherish you so much and you’d be extremely lucky to have him

scenario: it’s reallyyyyy cold outside and you want your boyfriend to warm you up :) and maybe cuddle :) i mean what no its just soooo cold

genre: fluff so much fluff

he’s from snezhnaya which is like russia

its always cold there so he’s used to the below 30 temperatures

you however

ARE NOT

like at all i mean you’re from mondstatd whens the last time it snowed here

so at first he might not notice that you are extremely cold

you two are walking around, being cute yk couple stuff

that is until you start shivering

“why are you shaking? are you scared of something???”

he’s not the brightest but we love him

“childe, im cold.” you bury your face in his chest to hide from the wind

“it’s not that cold out here, i don’t see why you’re being so dramatic.”

“it’s below 30 degrees! i’m going to get frostbite and die!”

ok so maybe you are a bit dramatic but YOU’RE FREEZING OKAY?

“hey ojou-chan, why are you so clingy all of a sudden-” you reached your hand inside his pocket to grab his hand.

holy crap your hands are cold

“hey wait don’t grab my- THAT’S MY SCARF!”

suddenly you were running away from him at top speed, his scarf in your hands

“come back here! what are you - oof-!” he had grabbed onto the edge of the scarf and pulled it back, you along with it.

you fell on top of him and you’re both wrapped in the scarf like every single christmas romance movie

“well now my hair is all full of snow.”

“you deserve it.” “HEY!” 

you get up and walk off to the side, taking his scarf with you

he follows after you, and catches up quite fast considering he’s got them long legs 

oh to be tall

he wraps his arms around you in a hug 

“still feeling cold?” 

“yES!” 

so you two head for home and he promises that he’ll cuddle you all day to keep you warm

which is what you wanted in the first place ;) 

diluc

diluc doesn’t get cold

not because of where he’s from or anything

but because pyro vision 

~natural body heat~ 

and unlike childe he would actually notice you withering away in the snow 

“y/n, are you alright?” 

“huh? yeah yeah im fine just a bit cold” 

suddenly you are being cuddled 

“diluc??” 

“yes?” 

“you’re hugging me?” 

he doesn’t usually initiate pda often so it was a surprise

“you said you were cold. i’m simply warming you up.” 

you lean into his hug and notice that he’s actually really warm

like so warm you get sleepy

you’re so sleepy now that you think about it

and bonk

congrats dear reader

you have fallen asleep in diluc’s arms

he continues to talk on about venti’s drinking problem and how annoying kaeya is

he looks down and notices you sweetly dozing off in his embrace

and he’s so lucky to have you isn’t he

he smiles softly and sweeps you into his arms

carries you bridal style upstairs 

he’s about to tuck you into your bed when your arms begin to tightly wrap around his shoulders

almost like you dont want to let go 

“darling, it’s more comfortable in the bed,” he says quietly

“noo...” your voice is muffled by his chest and you sound tired 

he chuckles lightly 

“just lay down for a bit i’ll be right with you in a minute” 

you’re quiet, like you’re stopping to think

“if i lay down, will you cuddle with me?” 

diluc sighs

“yes i’ll cuddle with you, just please lay down? for me?” 

and who are you to resist that 

so you lay down and while it’s not as warm as him

its still really soft and you fall asleep in no time

he comes back to you sleeping, and not one to break his promises, he cuddles with you anyway 

at least you’re warm now 

kaeya 

believe it or not, kaeya actually does get cold

i mean yeah he has a cryo vision, but that just means he isn’t affected by his own abilities 

or at least thats my headcanon 

anyways

if you’re shivering...he will not help you at first

no, first he’ll tease you about it

like imagine you guys have a mission in dragonspine

“oh y/n~ did you fall for me so hard you got frostbite?”

“you’re looking mighty chilled over there, need a hand?” 

you are this close to punching his arm

however because you want him to hug you and warm you up, you are going to stay on his good side 

he might prolong the teasing for a while

and after that while, he may or may not let you hug him

if he goes on for a bit too long however, he’d feel bad 

you aren’t laughing at his jokes anymore because you’re so cold

you just want to stop and sleep 

your steps become slower and slower

your vision is getting blurrier by the second

and after a while you just stop moving

kaeya turns to look back at you bc he notices

“y/n?” 

and then in a total cliche moment you collapse out of pure exhaustion

like the gentleman he is, he catches you before you land face-first in the snow

and in his mind hes like shit i let this go on too long

so he carries you around, looking for a cave you can rest in until you’re feeling better 

after maybe five minutes of searching he finds one

and he knows albedo is up here somewhere but he doesn’t want to risk you being in the snow for too long

he starts a fire and tries to lay you down near it, but you aren’t getting any warmer

so he puts you in his arms and just cuddles you 

the combination of body heat + fire is slowly warming you up 

and in about an hour you’re awake again

but you can’t move, because his grip on you is very tight

“kaeya? where are we?” 

he slowly opens his eyes 

“oh, just a random cave in dragonspine” he laughs a bit as he says it

then ofc he remembers you’ve just woken up from collapsing and is like oh right serious time ok

“are you okay?” he asks and this time he has a hint of concern in his voice

“yeah, i’m fine. i’m warm now too” you say as the fire starts to die down a bit

kaeya moves his arm in front of you to shift the firewood a bit 

“i’m sorry for letting you get that cold” he murmurs 

you adjust your position so you’re facing his chest 

“it’s alright, at least i can finally get some cuddles this way” 

you both continue to rest by the fire and decide you’ll head back to mondstatd in the morning

albedo

because albedo is rather observant of most things

he notices your state right away

he immediately stops whatever he is doing and tends to you

“you’re cold, aren’t you?” he sits you on the table and feels your forehead

“albedo, its not a fever” you laugh. 

“no, if it was a fever you’d be burning up” he says matter-of-factly 

he walks to the other side of the lab and grabs his coat

“here, put this on.” 

you wrap the coat around yourself and start to get off the table

he rushes back and grabs your hands

they’re cold (duh) 

so then he thinks what can he do to make your hands warm

usually some mittens would do the trick

but he doesnt have any except for his own

well 

he’ll do what he has to

anything for you 

so he slides his gloves off and offers them to you

“put these on, your hands are probably freezing” 

when you hesitate (because arent his hands cold now? you dont want him to be cold) he takes the initative and takes your hands to put the gloves on

he stands back and says “there. tell me if you get colder, okay?”

and tries to hide his flustered face because

you look so cute in his gloves!!! 

they’re his gloves and you’re wearing them ! 

he turns back to his work for a bit 

after maybe half an hour he looks back 

and you aren’t sitting on the table anymore?? 

he looks around

you aren’t anywhere?? 

thats not good

not good at all

he makes his way outside and doesn’t see you there either 

“y/n?” he calls out into the snow 

unknowingly to him, you had headed out about ten minutes after he turned around 

you went to go search for some starsilver, as you heard him muttering about it under his breath 

you were happily heading back to the lab, arms full of the stuff, when you heard someone shout in surprise

it sounded like albedo 

something must have happened to one of his experiments

you quickly hurried towards the lab only to find

nothing?? not even the man himself

there were footsteps in the snow leading away from the room, but you couldn’t be sure if it was yours or his

you decide to wait for him to come back, and set the starsilver near his workspace

after a while, he comes back in, looking stressed and worried

“albedo?” he looks up and breathes in relief 

“where were you, i came back and- mMf!” he rushes towards you and wraps you in a tight hug

“please don’t do that again” he says

“i got you some starsilver..”

he breaks the hug and looks back at his desk

“you went to get starsilver...for me?” 

you bury your face in his neck 

“yeah..i heard you muttering about it so i thought you needed some. it was colder out there than i thought, though” 

he pats your back soothingly, rubbing his hand in circles around your shoulder 

“let’s start a fire, that’ll warm us both up”

one sunny afternoon you two were on a date

it was one of the rare days he gets off from his harbinger duties

and he decided to take you to starsnatch cliff, in mondstatd

a bit far but he wanted to show you the cecilias because you’ve never been to an area where they naturally grow

so you’re walking with him, stopping to look at mondstatd’s natural life 

when suddenly you stumble upon a drunk 

you don’t know why someone would be all the way out here

drunk of all things

but suddenly they’re reaching for you and you back away 

basically they’re catcalling you so you make your way back to scara

unaware that the drunken man has followed you 

as you kneel down to pick another flower he tries to pull you back with the arm

you let out a yelp in surprise 

scaramouche turns, how dare this scum even touch you, he will make sure this man never sees the light of-

surprisingly, you start to laugh

scara is taken aback for a few seconds and then grins 

there it is

the man is also shocked, staggering 

“did you really think you were actually going to get away with that?” 

in a second you’ve grabbed his arm and are holding it against his back 

“go on. continue. what were you about to say to me?” 

he stutters on his words

“that’s what i thought.” you let him go and push his chest so he falls on the floor

“don’t let me catch you near me ever again. that’s a promise”

the look in your eyes terrifies him to his core 

the man runs for the hills in the opposite direction and you turn back to scara

meanwhile your boyfriend is just looking on with a shocked smile

he’s not one to simp on main

but he thought that was lowkey hot ngl 

“ah, y/n.” he laughs and places a hand on your waist 

“do that again for me sometime darling, hm?” 

of course as soon as you’re facing him your shy demeanor comes back with a vengeance 

your face turns beet red, his words the source of your flustered expression  

he loves how you go from deadly to absolutely adorable in seconds

although ofc you like to fluster him too 

he might start blushing just from you offering him a homecooked meal with that beautiful smile of yours 

or if you’re near him while he’s battling someone

his intention was to get you as far away as possible

but his opponent had caught him off guard and had him cornered

with a swift kick of your feet, scara’s enemy is on the floor, shirt pinned at the tip of your sword 

“run. now.” 

as soon as they’re gone you’ve knelt on the ground near scara, who sat in shock as he watched you body them 

“are you okay? are you injured anywhere? do you need me to heal you-” 

you’re cut off by him kissing you 

you break apart and stare at him

in his head hes like haha i kissed them speechless

and then you just-

KEEP ON BANDAGING HIS WOUNDS

like usually he would think it’s nice

but overall

he just thinks you’re so amazing

you found yourself stargazing a lot these days

it was something you used to do with...him.

you had heard the news that the fatui had settled in inazuma from your father, and you weren’t surprised

being well read about politics and foreign affairs, the shogun, who had called all three commissions together, decided to let you attend the meetings on the situation

you were grateful she let you have your say, but you suspected it was only to get on your father’s good side

even she has to bow down to humanity sometimes

what you weren’t expecting was for the reports to say a harbinger had been spotted on one of the boats

the sixth harbinger, to be precise.

“father, what do we know of the sixth harbinger?” you asked

he grimaced

there wasn’t much info on this guy, he was a complete mystery

he wasn’t a novice, or a trainee by any means. he was a fully fledged harbinger, who had apparently been working with them for years even though he was your own age.

you didn’t think much of it, the militia your father dispatched would take care of it, one way or another

but then, while taking your nightly stroll to a stargazing spot, you heard conversation in the hills

quickly darting behind nearest tree, and kneeling in the bushes, you began to hear bits and pieces of information

“milord, are you sure it’s wise to take camp in these lands? they’ve got a vendetta against you specifically, more than most-!” a woman, who went quiet, seemingly shushed by her superior

“shut up. we’ll be fine, we haven’t aggravated them. they won’t even know my true identity. they wouldnt care in the first place.” the man seemed resentful, but for what reason, you couldn’t decipher

you decided to leave, the info you had was enough, and you didn’t want to risk being caught by the fatui

just as you began to make your way back down the path, the talking in the tent stopped

you froze, whipping your head around to see a dark figure behind you, wearing a large hat.

you began to race for the trees, praying to the shogun you would make it without him catching you

fate had other plans

you felt a jolting pain up your side, and fell to the ground in shock

an electro vision. a large hat.

was this the famed sixth harbinger?

“who are you?” he asked

he dug his sandal into your back, keeping you pinned to the ground, facing the dirt

“what did you hear, and why are you listening to my private conversation?”

he talked like he owned the world, and was just waiting for it to fall back into his hands

however you didn’t plan on going down without a fight

you’d stand against him until your last breath

you summoned an ice crystal via your cryo vision and whizzed it past his ear

he was startled, and his foot loosened

there was your chance

you slipped from under his grasp and summoned your sword, preparing to flip upwards and strike

he summoned a polearm to meet your advances, and you two battled to the edge of the hill

the moonlight was shining behind the woods, and he finally got a good hit on you, knocking you down until you gripped the cliff edge by your hands, struggling to get up

“well, as entertaining as that might’ve been, i can’t have you spilling all my secrets. so goodbye, now.”

as he was about to kick your fingers off, he glanced back at your face, the moon’s light allowing him to finally see you clearly

he faltered, clearly stunned by what he saw

“y/n?” he asked in a low voice

you’re not even sure he meant to say it, but you used that moment of weakness to grab his spear, pull yourself up, and bounce off the top of his hat

“goodbye, fatui.” you dashed back to the city, not looking back, just wanting to get away from him

you had no clue who he was to recognize you. you hadn’t even got a good look at his face

the man was left there, standing shell shocked, staring in the direction you ran to

“milord?” the attendant from earlier asked him

“who was that stranger? you seem shaken.”

he blinked, staring down at his weapon in his hands

“it’s...no one. there wasn’t anyone there.”

“are you sure, i swore i heard fighting!”

he looked at her with a glare that made her stop talking

even though he dropped the subject, he could not stop wondering what exactly had happened

and how on earth he’d explain to the tsaritsa that he no longer sought to destroy ‘everyone in inazuma’.

scenario: as the protector of both you and liyue, he wants to show you everything he can (apologies if xiao seems ooc)

genre: mostly fluff, but a bit of angst because yk angsty old memories 

when you had told him you wanted him to surprise you for your date you had no idea what he would do 

and you were excited too

because he knows you don’t care what kind of date it is, as long as you’re with him

so here you are, one hand covering your eyes, and the other being led by him

“you aren’t about to drop me off of juyeun karst, are you xiao?” you grin, hearing the sound of a falcon’s cry. 

“i would never, just wait a bit longer, we’re almost there.” 

in about five minutes time, he stops and leads you to a pause 

“you can open your eyes now” 

you do as he says and blink from the brightness of the sun in your eyes

from a quick scan of your surroundings, you see the endless mountains all around

juyeun karst, just like you thought

“i wanted this to be the first thing you see” his hand gently points your view towards the horizon

the sun is rising over the land and morning is slowly approaching 

no wonder he woke you up while it was still dark

“the adepti get to see this every morning?” you marvel at the sight 

“well since settling down at the inn it’s been a while.” 

he looks at you, watching the pure wonder on your face

even though he’s seen this view so many times

a countless amount of times even

he’d sit on this very cliffside, watching the sun shine, unfazed by what is happening on the land it watches over

the sun didn’t care if he was dead or alive

it didn’t care whether he was fine or not 

yet it was always there

and everyday, one way or another, he’d watch it rise 

but he was always alone

never before had someone sat and watched it with him

it was always just him

so the fact that he could share this with you means so much more than you’d think

“here, sit down,” he says 

his voice seems a bit quieter now, although you dont know why 

you sit down, your legs dangling over the side of the cliff

to some people that might seem dangerous, but you know xiao won’t let you fall 

he wraps his arms around your waist, as you watch the sunrise together 

“do you like it?” he asks you

“of course, its so beautiful....we should see this more often” 

a small smile sneaks onto his face

“i can take you here more often then” 

you lean into his shoulder, and look up at him

“you’re the best” 

his face turns a bit red as he looks down at you in his arms

you adjust your position on the grass to face him 

and raise your head up juST a lil bit to give him a peck on the nose

his face is even more red now and he pouts 

“what, did you want more?” you tease 

to your surprise he leans into you, pressing your forehead to his

“yes” 

his lips meet yours in a soft kiss 

he kisses you like if he lets go then you’ll fade away

almost as if he never wants to let you go

which is the truth 

because he never plans on leaving you

you break apart and you gaze up at him again, cheeks red and lips swollen

he then points at something behind you and as you turn to look he kisses your cheek 

“xiao!” you remark in surprise 

his arms hold you tighter as he responds

“you don’t know how special you are, do you?” 

if your face wasn’t red before, it is now 

you turn around to face the cliff again 

“that was unfair.” you mutter as he begins to hoist you up with his hand

“there’s still time to eat at wanmin restaurant if we head back now,” he tells you

you’re still a bit grumbly about that unexpected kiss as you let him drag you down the mountain

still, you can’t help but smile to yourself as you two head back to the inn

when your girlfriend got home, you both headed to bed, ready for some well-needed rest after a hard day’s work 

however to keqing’s surprise, it was now the ungodly hour of 4am...and you were moving around

you hadn’t woken her up, she usually gets up early for work anyways 

she checked to make sure you were still asleep, and heard you begin to mutter things under your breath 

“wait, don’t go”

“keqing, please don’t leave” 

her heart sunk at this 

usually you were cheerful and enthusiastic about most things 

some people had even gone as far as to call you ‘annoyingly bubbly’ 

a few government officials also told her the reason you were like that was because you didnt know any better

in shorter terms, they thought you were stupid

of course keqing had gotten them fired the next day because how dare they underestimate you

but hearing you call out her name in what almost sounded like anguish was heartbreaking

she listened as you cried for her to stay by your side and to stop leaving

it was almost impossible to bear, but she knew you had to get your sleep

when you started crying she couldn’t stand it anymore and moved towards your sleeping (albeit sobbing) figure 

“y/n?” she shakes you gently by the shoulder, trying to wake you up

“hey, y/n, calm down, i’m here” you’re a bit more awake now, and she holds you closer to her chest

its almost as if she’s protecting you from the nightmares 

“keqing? what...what time is it?” you seem disoriented and confused so she holds the back of your head with her hands, rubbing comforting circles on it 

“you had a nightmare. but its okay now, because i’m here, i’m not leaving.” 

you rest your head on her shoulder 

“it’s cold.” 

out of all the lovely or affectionate things you could choose to say

you chose ‘im cold’ 

she laughs and moves over towards the fire place in the room you two share

“i can turn the fire on if you’d like. i’ll ask ningguang to give me the day off.” 

you get up from where you’re sitting in protest

“keqing, really i’m fine, it was just a nightmare.” 

she shushes you with a finger to your lips “it’s my decision, and i wanted to spend a day with you anyway.” 

you smile and lean into her arms as you both sit in front of the now alit fireplace 

she smiles and softly sings a little lullaby to get you to go back to sleep

and you know this a rare treat

the liyue qixing’s yuheng keqing? singing? unheard of

you laugh to yourself at the thought 

she wonders whatever you could be laughing about, but she’s mostly glad that you’re smiling again
