I THINK LOVE IS SOMETHING / THAT HAPPENS TO OTHER PEOPLE - Michael Gray Bulla // Heated Rivalry
the press has GOT to let sidney crosby cry in peace. that moment is between him and 100,000 hockeyblr freaks who are parasocially in love with him stop euphemistically referring to it as him "getting emotional" and asking him weird ass questions like "did you expect to react that way?"
personally i dont understand trying to hold so tight to sidney's PRsona of "polite canadian man with a Heart of Gold who can do no wrong" when you can love the once in a century talent who is incredibly sweet and earnest and also plays dirty bastard hockey because he's been personally targeted by every hockey player with something to prove for the last 30+ years and never grew into a real boy
trying to laugh along with the sidney shootout jokes but truthfully i ride too hard for him there are tears in my eyes
im going to be so real with you people its not funny at all to say that you shouldnt be with someone because theyre broke/dont have a job. in any context but especially in this economy? your soul is rotting inside your body. yes im talking about that hudson williams post
the pwhl is not woke nhl. acting like theyre in any way morally superior to the nhl will only set you up for disappointment and embarrassment. women's sports teams will never be the utopia you think they are even if they have a few gay people come the fuck on
Although i always made her purr like a cat, she said i never made her smile like that
the thing is like the NHL's reputation came away unscathed. like press about EM's case was still being circulated a year ago, a damn documentary is coming out about it imminently, and players who were directly involved with the case are still fucking playing in the league. we found out there's probably no one playing in the entire NHL who isn't at least a bystander to abuse and assault of some kind. how do we have such short memories about all of it it makes me sick
