Away from the Thermomix this week, this is an example of things I cook that never make it here for lack of time, lack of a decent -or any- photo, or, frankly, laziness. . Watched a YouTube video by Ben Bayly (slow cooked lamb shoulder with gremolata and vanilla turnip purée) and this is my take on it - with a few tweaks: ✨ added a few capers to the gremolata for a bit more oomph ✨ instead of shoulder, I used the fillet (the bit usually attached to the cutlets). It doesn’t need cooking that long at all. I steamed it 40 minutes and it would have been enough with 20. ✨ As it’s a much more delicate cut, it’s enough to finish it in the pan, with a bit of butter, to colour it. . Great for a dinner party (gremolata and purée made in advance), it was easy enough for a weekday meal. .
