Maureen loves kids and was so excited to find out that she was having one of her own! 

She’s open to expanding her family and meeting new people. Maureen is a very sweet gal, she’s always got a smile on her face and loves to tell stories. 

Being a Bestselling author is her dream in life. When she isn’t taking care of her little girl she’s busy in her office writing away on her laptop.

Maureen is bi! She’s divorced and is out on the dating scene.

She’s very much a homebody. Doesn’t get out much but she’s trying not to let that stop her.

Colette McCracken

grew up poor in oasis springs with her mom, who read a lot of romance novels in her spare time. colette picked one up in late high school and just... never really put it down

wants to be a bestselling author, writing smutty lesbian romance novels

she has self-published a good number of books, and has amassed a small following. they lovingly refer to her as "the kracken" which colette has slowly come to accept

she moved to san myshuno for university, but came back to oasis springs to take care of her mom, whose getting old and sick. colette is family-oriented, and would do anything for those she cares about

"anything" means anything. colette is hot-headed, and has a mean temper, which flares up especially in defence of her loved ones, but she can definitely take it too far.

her bruised knuckles aren't from fights, though, don't worry. those are from one of her hobbies: kickboxing. it helps her vent her anger, and has given her more than a few meetcute ideas for her novels

despite her luck with novelwriting, colette is unlucky in one somewhat ironic aspect: love. she's a hopeless romantic, but believes deep down that she's hopelessly single. even when she finds someone who can deal with her busy, inconsistent schedule, she typically ends up scaring them off with her temper or her small but steadily growing fame. she's holding out hope for someone who understands the importance of family, and who will be honest with her, helping bring her back down to earth when she starts fuming

lives with her mom in a nice, if small home, that she's paying for bit by bit with novel royalties. eventually, she'd like to move out again, buy her mom a big, nice house, along with someone who can live in with her and help her with her daily activities. until then, colette is content to stay with her, scribbling in her notebook once her mother has gone to sleep.

her mom's name is Astrid, and she's probably the softest, kindest woman colette has ever known... hence the overprotective tendencies

colette stubbornly adores turtlenecks and long sleeves, wearing them even in the heat of oasis springs. she makes up for this by wearing shorter and shorter skirts

has a good amount of tattoos, but isn't prone to showing them off. get close enough, and she'll tell you their significance (spoiler: most of them correspond to her novel characters. she gets attached easily)

has had to answer a lot of questions about her ears, and has resorted to answering them with a wink or conspiratorial giggle, but really? she has no idea. she likes to think they're the perfect, peculiar marking for a spunky, lovesick protagonist
