Ouch that's way higher than LI (it's about $800 for a split 2 bedroom apartment and food and neccesities)
Unfortunately I live in literally the second most expensive place in the nation. To split a 2 bedroom apt is about $750-$1000 depending on the neighborhood, not including food, utilities, etc.
Most people my age end up in a living situation where you have like 8 people living out of a two bedroom apt and I'm really not into that idea.
