Can you talk about your RavenBarley family au please? (I think it’s adorable and I’d love to here more about it!)
I WOULD LOVE TO!!!! The idea is that during Ravenpaw’s Farewell, Ravenpaw doesn’t die, and helping Rileypool & Bellaleaf makes him realize that he’d actually be a pretty good dad. He and Barley talk it out & decide to have a litter - they soon have three kits, Yarrow, Rye, and Pumpkin! They’re the best dads in the world. Yarrow’s got a strong personality and high ambitions, which means he causes a lot of chaos and torments Pumpkin in particular, but he’s not a bad kid, just high-energy. Rye is super smart & curious about the natural world, and her favorite thing ever is collecting bugs!! Pumpkin got Raven’s nerves, and is easily upset, but is a deep thinker and loves spending time out in the pasture with the farm livestock & horses. The kids eventually grow up: Yarrow goes to find the Clans and becomes a warrior of SkyClan, Ravenpaw & Barley bring Pumpkin to the Twolegs after HEAVILY deliberating and he becomes a beloved indoor cat of a friend of theirs, and Rye decides to stay in the barn and help her dads as they age. Ravenpaw’s more of the hands-on parent (think Chilli, if you’ve seen Bluey), takes everything seriously, is good with feelings and advice. Barley likes having fun and playing more than any of that, but he’s very good at it, and he won’t hesitate to intervene if there’s trouble. They’re both pretty protective of their kits due to their respective childhoods, which can cause some problems..but generally, they’re excellent dads and want to do well more than anything. <3 I love these guys SO MUCH!!!
