Pine, Umber, and Snow are Blueriver and Pineclaw’s first litter. Like every young cat, they probably feel like they are growing up in completely normal circumstances, but that couldn’t be further from the case. Since before they were born, many plans and expectations were already in place for this litter. Nieces and nephews of Captain Rainfall, and the further legacy of Frozenpool, their grandfather, there is no escape for these kittens from their Grand Destiny.
At least, that’s how their family sees things. For many in River Colony, the special treatment and pressure put onto any cat from Frozenpool’s line is beginning to cause a fair amount of concern. Their ancestors never put much stock in lineage before, why now? Can these kittens grow up in a healthy way with all this meddling? What about the other kittens and New-Claws who are starting to see this favoritism in the Colony as normal?
But no one dares interfere with Pineclaw and Blueriver’s kittens. One mistake with them could be your last.
