Kittrissance: The Movie

As part of the Kittrissance, I rewatched Kit's movie and firstly, Stanley Tucci. That's it, just the amazingness that is Stanley Tucci. Also, I love the collection movie tie ins. It's like watching toys come to life without using my imagination.

Second, I watched the hobo storyline with new eyes. It was interesting how the hobos are the scapegoats for the ills of society, especially by those who consider themselves the "good people". In the case of the movie, the hobos are deliberately set up to take the fall for the crime ring. It felt like it was a story for our time even if it was filmed fifteen years ago though I guess it was REALLY a story for that time considering the housing bubble burst.

Third, my dad overheard me talking about hobos and got all bent out of shape and I had to explain that I was not talking about currently unhoused people but people described as hobos in an American Girl movie about the Great Depression which is at least in part historically accurate. "Oh okay then," he said.

What is this desk? I noticed a few days ago that Courtney’s tv on the insert is on Josefina’s desk stand. Maybe this is a mash up of Samantha’s desk and something custom?
